After winter, I just rake up the dead area or bald spot and shake in the prepared seed & water. I looked at the other brands but noticed a dramatic difference in the content. I'm a believer in Scotts products.

Use as little or as much as you need by simply sprinkling it out! No bag to fall over & spill out. Plus the seedlings work every time. We like to say the grass would grow in cement!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this to fill in bare spots from dog urine. It sprouted quickly and is filling the bare spots nicely. Simple to use and works great. I definitely will be buying again for filling in further bare spots.

The seed grows fast because it's combined with a water absorbing mulch and has fertilizer too. Mine was sprouted in less than 10 days and needed mowing a week or so after that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own a Hunting and Family Vacation Cabin on 89 acres in Carroll County Ohio. I seeded the lawns around the cabin and now I have the task of mowing the "lawn" there now. My brother-in-law lives in the area and he helps me keep it neatly mowed.

I use the EZseed to fix the many spots that my dog leaves behind. It works great! You do have to keep an eye on it and water it when needed but that's the same with any seed. This tends to work faster and thicker in any condition. Great product but a little pricey!

When the lawn in my backyard started to get bare spots, I wasn't thrilled at the idea of having to buy bags of seed and fertilizer. I came across Scotts EZ Seed and thought I would give it a go first. I'm so happy I did. It took me not time at all to apply it , and it worked really well. The first time round, I did not water it enough, so the grass was slow to grow. Once I bumped up to the correct amount of water, it grew super fast. I'm actually getting ready to buy more of this. Love it.

This was the second time in as many warm seasons that I decided to try EZ Seed Patch and Repair. Thinking that I might have gotten a bad container the first time I tried again this year. Followed the directions to the T watering 3 and 4 times a day. NOTHING - NOTHING. Absolutely NO evidence of the "mulch expanding 4X to cover the seed. These patches were scraped and then filled with topsoil with a growing medium before adding this product. Again NOTHING!
