Very easy to apply and really works

I had a problem area around my sidewalk could never get grass to grow and live for any length of time. I followed the instructions and it worked. I planted the seed in March and after 6 or 7 months it still growing full no bare spots looks great the wife loves it and will get more for any problem areas in the yard. Very pleased with the results.

Works well in shade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even though it wasn't the perfect time of year to plant this Sun and Shade seed, we put some under a large plant that had blank spots underneath that we wanted to fill in with grass. It starting growing right away.

Great Results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I get great results without having to constantly keep watering. Once a day is fine and it does well even if you forget a couple of days. Make sure you loosen the soil at least two inches. Its very important to keep watering after the grass fills in!!!!! The highest quality seeds germinate last so keep lightly watering the area until you mow a few times.

EZ SEED

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy Peeze this seed does a great job. Fills in where I have some bare spots. Works great in the shade under my trees. Just shake and go! My neighbor even used some for his Mom's property and was very satified.

Good news. Bad news.

I have always used Scotts products on my lawn. During the winter of 2013-2014 we had quite a bit of grass that died over the winter. We decided to use Scotts EZ Seed to fill in where the grass had died. When the grass finally started to grow in the spring of 2014 (we live in Wyoming so it took awhile to get get warm enough for the grass to start growing) it came in great. Nice and thick and green. Last summer my lawn looked the best that it has ever looked. That is the good news. That bad news is that all the grass that we planted last spring died this past winter. It was only the grass that we planted in the spring that died. The grass that survived the previous winter also survived this past winter. I am enclosing several photos, starting with what the lawn looked like in the summer of 2013 and after the grass had died in 2014. Then there are several photos that show how good the grass came in during the spring and summer of 2014 and then finally a photo of what the lawn looks like today (spring 2015). Maybe you could offer some advice and what went wrong. We are deciding on how to approach the lawn this year. Try seeding it again or maybe try laying sod.

We are sorry that you experienced problems while using Scotts EZ Seed Sun & Shade. Unfortunately, I cannot be certain why your grass has died after growing well at first. Once they start growing, grass seedlings may succumb to environmental factors such as disease, insects, or extremes of temperature and moisture. This is not necessarily evidence of inferior grass seed, as even superior grass types are subject to natural stresses. We suggest making sure to change your watering practices after the seed emerges to deep infrequent waterings to promote deep root growth. Deeper soil prepearation may also allow the grass seedlings to root deeper, and become established. A deep root system w Two enemies of newly seeded lawns are herbicides and lawn diseases. While you have very little control over the outbreak of a lawn disease, please make sure that no weed control or weed prevention chemical has been used in the area, as those products will also prevent or inhibit germination or harm newly germinated grass. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience please contact us to see what can be done. Not One Blade of Grass

Meticulously followed the directions. Since I'm home all day I was able to keep the area moist and avoid it drying out. Days were in the high 70's and nights low 50's. Despite my care not one blade of grass has emerged. Would not recommend anyone using.

Don’t Buy

It’s been two weeks and still not even a sprout. We had light rain all week with no puddling and I can still see the seed so it wasn’t washed away. I wouldn’t bother writing a review, but it’s a frustratingly simple concept and yet it’s failed on multiple occasions.

Good results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product in a number of small areas where the grass was thinning or bare. It is simple to apply. The key with this product is to keep it moist. Don't overly saturate it, just keep it moist on a daily basis and you should expect good results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is probably the easiest reseed information spot product that I have ever used You scrarch the surface a bit to loosen the spot shake the canister, and keep it a little moist and in my case it was about nine days and the bare spots were turning green
