[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this when the temperature got warm enough. With that and all the rain we got. It didn't that long to show its results. It is ideal for small areas it the yard such as spots that animals like to make.

I tried this a couple years ago and didn't follow the directions very carefully. As you might expect it didn't work out so well. I got some on sale and put it down last fall and followed the directions exactly. It's now the best, fullest, greenest, hardiest grass on my lawn. It spreads to fill in around it...I wish it would spread over my entire lawn. It's expensive...but look for sales, buy it, and use it right...you won't regret it.

I had a couple of spots that needed to be reseeded, I followed the directions. When I applied the product it seemed as though there was very little actual seed, it seems as though I paid a premium price for a small bag of what seemed like peat moss. I waited for the results, 3 weeks in and only a few blades of new grass. Cost of failure nearly $40. I finally gave up and purchased a bag of top soil for $1.50 and a 3lb bag of Scotts sun and shade grass seed for $13.50. Spread a thin layer of the top soil over the area to be seeded followed by a generous layer of seed. I then lightly raked the area and applied water, mother nature did the rest. 1 week later, I had green grass where there was none, plus I still had about 2lbs of seed left in the bag. Cost of success $15. I wouldn't use this product ever again even if was free!

Have used this product and had no luck. Watered daily as recommended. Some came up and some didn't. What did didn't survive especially in the shaded area. Wouldn't recommend useing this product. Even used what was left on a small area and still nothing. Wasted my money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product to repair a number of bare spots in my lawn. Within 14 days I have new grass and now have a wonderfully plush lawn in those spots. Guess I will have to overseed the lawn this yard. I think I will stick with Scotts products because for some reason they seem to be the most effective.

Right now I'm using this product and the mulch stays wet in warm temperatures! I'm hoping the seed germination will happen in 5-7 days. It was told to me that Scott's EZ Seed works in cooler temperatures! If not I was going to wait until next spring to use this product! I'll wait and see what's going to happen! I bought this product last year and the results were very fast! My decision to buy this product again was to fill the dead spots on my family's front lawn. I haven't had to water the spots everyday because the weather is not hot and it's Fall!

We have used it for quite a while and because of it our front law and back yard grass area looks beautiful, green and healthy. We have received compliments from others and we always tell them to use this product. We will continue to use it forever.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this product every year as a I have 2 dogs and come spring I have quite a few brown patches. I clear out the dead spots add a little top soil and the grass grows right back. Very pleased with the results.

After buying numerous bags of seed, I finally splurged on this stuff and I’m glad I did! We had a shed installed in our backyard and the delivery truck killed our lawn. I sprinkled this stuff on, and grass grew within a week! I love the brown color feature of the seed, it’s dummy proof for people like me who tend to water too much or too little. When I saw the seed turn light brown, I gave it a good soak and went about my business. Easy! Only negative is I wish more clover was included in the mix, a sustainable lawn is important to me. Can’t recommend this stuff enough!

It had been very dry here and the rabbit could not dig a hole so it took all of the grass from a section of my lawn and piled it in my wife's flower bed. I applied Scotts EZ Seed Patch and Repair and kept it moist. The new grass started sprouting in just a few days. It's nice when a product works as you hope it will and this one did.
