Great Sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought my VIZIO Sound Bar (Mod P51A-H6) recently to replace my previous Vizio Sound Bar that I had for at least eight years. This new Sound Bar is superior in every way. The sound and clarity are without doubt second to none. It's as if you are sitting in a theater. Couldn't be happier.

Wonderful Immersive Sound!

I've bought this just over a month ago and love it! The sound is great and when watching a movie with Dolby Atmos it's just so immersive and wonderful! Very happy with my purchase but only reason it's not 5 stars for me is the rear speakers are not wireless.

Very impressive handles bass really well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with this one, the Vizio 5.1.4 Elevate. I had a M series Elevate, it was awesome l, but could not handle bass well. I put on the Dolby Vision/Atmos version of “Apocalypse Now, Redux”, and I thought the helicopters were right over me!. Gonna try, “Mad Max Fury Road” next. I made my back room into a female cave, 75 inch Qled and the Vizio Elevate.I’ve found that the higher priced electronics sometimes, aren’t as good. Very happy.

Great Sound

I bought this sound bar to upgrade the audio from my new 4k TV. I had a 2006 vintage home theater system. I was hesitant to go from an AVR to a sound bar. It turns out I made the correct decision to update the technology. This sounds great. It fills the room with sound. The dialog is crystal clear. Surround sound makes it a theater like experience when watching a movie. I started out looking at other brands of sound bars. This sound bar sounded better, had real Dolby Atmos capability and cost substantially less. If you are looking for a new sound bar, you need check this one out before you buy.

Elevate Soundbar

After several months of research and excitement based on in store performance of the Vizio elevate soundbar, I finally purchased this item in March 2022. Once this item was installed the disappointment set in. Soundbar has numerous technical issues from software, eARC not staying connected, sound cutting off for 20 to 30 seconds randomly and speakers not rotating on dolby atmos movies. Numerous resets did not resolve this issue. Only recourse received was to send to manufacturer for 3 to 6 weeks to be serviced. However even with my disappointment, when system is working properly the sound is awesome. I would still recommend, but with caution!!

Difficult setup with new Sony TV

I assume I will eventually conquer the setup process on this soundbar. I decided to take a dinner break to quell my frustration. I have a nearly new Sony TV. Setup looks like cake until the soundbar seems to alter the sound settings on the TV uncommanded to the point where I currently have no sound. This bar replaces smaller Sony that was, in fact, easy to setup. Have been working with fairly highend audio equipment for decades. The more the manufacturers rely on QR code scans to provide highly idealized smooth setup demos, the worse things get. I imagine I will not be able to talk to a well informed actual human if it comes to that. Then it will be chat with someone who feeds me scripts like you get everywhere. No, I am not recommending this product to anyone else.

Good but not great.......

Not bad but not great either. The soundstage is a little underwhelming... either you get high dialouge/ center and low soundtrack/music or vice versa.... not sure if it's user error based on the many manual setting you must perform for each sound source being fed or hardware limitations. Please push out a update where you can at least have a couple preset saved settings or do a better job of processing different signal formats automatically. Hopefully a couple more firmware updates will do the trick.

sound is phenomenal when it doesn’t have link prob

We love the sound system when it works. Well be trying to contact customer service regarding this. There wireless -ness isn’t really wireless because it has connection issues. Maybe ours is faulty, and if so Ill update this review, but the sound goes in and out of the back smaller speakers every few seconds when connected. It’s very frustrating to listen To, especially for the price.

Was excited but now disappointed!!

Needs updated badly!!! My vizio elevate sound bar sounds great when working correctly, but since it now has a bug that is allowing it to increase to max volume on its own I cannot even enjoy using at all. I have to unplug the sound bar to watch tv now. This may be the end of any further purchases of a vizio product from me. After searching on the web I found this to be common and I am not satisfied upon hearing that there is no firmware upgrade for this issue. Shame on you vizio.

Best Soundbar I’ve Ever Listened To

I’m so impressed with the versatility and quality of the Elevate. Music sounds just as good as movies. Compared to Nakamichi’s Soundwafe bar (which I ended up selling), the Elevate has a much clearer and fuller sound and is easier to tweak the settings. My one tiny criticism of the Elevate is that the bass is very boomy. This can be adjusted through various settings so it’s not a major issue, but I hope the Vizio team will tweak the settings to allow finer gradations of adjustment to the bass/subwoofer at lower levels. Overall I am incredibly satisfied with this purchase and love finally having an Atmos/DTSX capable system that sounds amazing.
