I finally decided to buy Dixie Ultra Plates and was pleased to find that they are sturdy and hold up well. I have bought store brands and other brands and I find that Dixie Brands are the best yet. They may be a little expensive but worth the money. As they say you get what you pay for.

They are big,durable and strong.Even use them when we have a special dinner. We camp during the summer and and use these all summer long. Do not use any other product. We use Dixie Ultra for every meal now. I have 3 sets of fine china (inherited) and 2 sets of every day dinnerware. I got tired of washing plates. These are easy, they hold everything and can go in the microwave. We also have leftovers a lot and there is no waste. I love the bowls, too.

With other plates you would have to use more than one so food would not leak through, but not Dixie plates you only need one per person and the food stays off your table or lap and on the plate.
