The flavor and overall quality are fine. My objection is to the texture of this product when you prepare it. Leaving the flesh rare or red leaves an extremely mealy texture to that meat. To overcome this, I grill it until it's basically cat food more or less, which feels like a sin with tuna steaks. The mealy texture disappears when it's medium or more done, but then you lose that rare tuna flavor. The only solution I can see is to buy never-frozen tuna from a fish monger. BUT it will do in a pinch. At least it's convenient! And has no odor at all when defrosted. Also I grill and eat this tuna like a steak, so in a recipe with other items you probably would not notice the texture issue so much.

Outstanding Tuna. I was really hoping it was going to be good, but this surpassed my expectations. This will be on repeat.

If you can?t get it fresh, go buy this! Favor price. Nice size tuna steaks. So worth it! A staple in our home.

Nasty. Turned grey when cooked… has some unappealing vein running through it. Returned for a refund.
