Assembly

This did not come in 16 preassembled pieces. It came in 100’s of pieces that had to be assembled! Not sure yet about the finished product.

I'm sorry for the confusion. It comes with 16 panels to assist with the fort assembly. The remaining parts of the assembly do need to be assembled and comes in many pieces.

disappointed

The description says ‘The Backyard Discovery Bristol Point Cedar Swing Set/Playset comes in 16 pre-assembled panels for convenient assembly.’ Completely false. Every board had to be screwed together. Very disappointed!!

I am so sorry to hear that. For the house portion itself it does total out to be 16 pre-assembled panels. However, outside of that you will need to assemble the rest together. We will definitely look into the description to see if we can word this better for future references.

Great swingset..

This swingset is great. But if you want it to last you HAVE to seal it every year. I went 2 years without re sealing it and it just went to trash. The Texas sun is brutal..

Thank you so much for your feedback, information like this ensures that we are able to continually improve our product performance in the future. Similar to other wooden outdoor products, annual maintenance is required. You will find details for annual maintenance in your assembly manual. Please understand that applying a sealant in year one is essential for long term product performance. However, depending on your climate, it will be necessary to apply stain in subsequent years to ensure long term integrity and performance. We aim for 100% 5-star satisfaction and are sorry that your experience has been less than perfect.

Design Hit, Construction nightmare

Design is a hit but putting it together is rough. I didn’t even attempt it alone and the handyman says it’s a 4-day job. Be prepared to pay for construction!

Seems to be good quality but small

The play house part is a lot smaller than I expected from the pictures. We don't have it fully assembled yet but it's taken 3 days so far. It has an obnoxious amount of parts to put together.

Daughter loves it!

Bought this with my work bonus for my 2.5 year old to grow into and have something exciting at home with a new baby brother. At first she thought it was a house for him, but quickly started calling it hers! Would definitely recommend. We did hire someone to assemble for us with two little ones and glad we did.

Great value! But get the assembly...

We bought this about 8 months ago and our daughter and her neighbor friends play on it often. They love it! It has held up well so far with regular use. We have only had to tighten the swing bolts, which is to be expected. Well worth the purchase. My advice to you is to spend the extra for assembly. Holy moly. This thing is a pain in the rear-end to put together. And it's a blow to your self-esteem when you go WAY over the expected assembly time in the instructions. In the end, it was well worth the hassle, but we almost ended up with a balcony instead of a tube slide.

Great play yard

Shipping was fast and everything was packaged great. Nothing was broke! It did take several people and all day to assemble. Which is longer than they said. Everything for the most part was marked well. A few holes we needed were not predrilled. After reading reviews I thought the slide would be the hardest, but my son in law finished it in 3 hours. We did plan ahead and had everything sorted the day before construction. That helped alot! Overall it looks great and the grandkids love it. It's only been up a week so time will tell how long it will last

Pretty sturdy

I brought this in April and my 3 kids play on it almost everyday. My son is almost 14 year old who weights 119lbs. Loves playing on the swings. My husband is 5'9, 165lbs and he also plays on the slides with our youngest 2. I feel its pretty sturdy and I love the way it looks.

Great Product!

We bought this the first week of lockdown, and managed to get it assembled right around Easter. This has been a lifesaver, with two girls aged 5 and 3. They both love the set! Between the kitchen down below, the slides, the climbing wall, and the telescope up top, they have spent hours upon hours playing with so far. It took me about 16 hours or so to assembly it myself, the instructions were easy enough to follow. The tube slide is by far the worst part of the assembly (thanks to all the little rivets), but with two people it wouldn't be that bad. I would also recommend another shelf on the lower section, on the window looking at the tube slide. Between the stove, the sink, and the grill, there isn't a lot of free space to place the "ready to eat" food, so the girls have taken to balancing everything on that little window. I'm in the process of making a small shelf to go in that spot now. As well as getting enough rubber mulch to go underneath it.
