I bought this for the hair/skin/nails benefits, but what really stood out was how much better my joints felt! It also helps with meeting my daily protein intake.

The new topless container is a joke - hard to open - you'll inevitably puncture the container and no scoop inside - this is all of course to save the world hypocrisy - but it's just to save them money. Last time for me.

Product is excellent. I've been buying it from Sam's for a long time. However, will not be buying it again as the new packaging is bad. Opened the box and powder was all over the bottom of the box. The bottom of the "new" cannister had busted at the seam and leaked powder everywhere. Very disappointed.

The "new" packaging with the lid that folds back, etc. was nearly impossible to get open.....it is not user friendly -- I had to take a sharp knife and poke at it several times to finally get the lid to release. That, along with no scoop still? Going to go back to another product.

Just realized looking at this the sodium is way too much! Been taking this for a long time but im trying to limit my sodium and tgis is way too high. Looking at the "Best Collagen" and this is not it according to google. Ill have to try something different.

Horrible new packaging, they switched to a cheaper packaging but still kept their prices up. And Sustainable future is their response? What sustainable future if you lose your customers? How many of these poor reviews and lost customers is it going to take to listen and go back to your old packaging? People are sick of it. Please start listening to these reviews and giving generic poor responses. Listen to your customers, especially the elderly who can’t even open the new packaging and give folks a new, better option. If you aren’t, drop the price if match the inferior quality. It’s a known fact it costs 68-72% more money to attract new customers than it does to maintain the ones you have.

I bought this from Sam's several months ago when it was on sale and put it in the pantry until what I had in previously purchased was used up. When it came, I was disappointed to see the new cardboard packaging. "Just one more thing to cheapen it" I thought to myself, remembering how disappointed I had been in the last couple I'd bought and finding the the handy scoop was gone. This morning when I tried to open it, I found that the directions "Pinch and Pull" on the rim were impossible for me to accomplish. I would think that anyone with small, large or arthritic hands would also have this problem. To get it open, I had to use a sharp knife and carefully slice through the small dots of cardboard that were holding it together. Once open I found the disclaimer shown in the pictures I'm including here. I'm afraid that after several years of using Vital Proteins Bovine, I'm not sure I'll be using it again in the future. Not only is the canister awkward, I wasn't confident that the cardboard would be a barrier against humidity and transferred it to the plastic canister. Getting protein powder into my coffee shouldn't be this much work.

Love the large size

I only gave this recent purchase of Vital Proteins Callagen Peptides Powder, Unflavored 24oz just three stars because of the new packaging. It is horrible. I want containers that I can seal completely against moisture and possibly insects. Fortunately I have the last container and transfered the contents of the new container to my older container. I understand the desire to reduce plastics but there has to be a better way than this new cardboard. The product itself is excellent and a great way to add additional protein to my diet. Newer packaging is not always better. Pictured is the old container.

I've been ordering this product for years but the packaging changed to cardboard and it's Very Difficult to open. You need the hand width and strength of a basket player to open it. Once open, the lid does not stay securely shut. New container is a bad design.
