All of these reviews are confirming what I came here to say. I have loved VP collagen as my daily supplement but this last container I have gotten tastes off and smells like my laundry soap! I thought I was going nuts. Reading these reviews are like a lightbulb coming on: I have been breaking out like CRAZY! Wondering what I'm changing and can't figure it out until reading others' problems after taking this. I love the fact that it dissolves better, but I'll deal with the clumps if I can go back to the way it was before! I usually mix mine with hot water in a shaker before I add it to my pre workout drink. I've been wondering why it bubbles SO intensely this time. Maybe check to see if some soap got mixed in?!?! Haha. I'm just so disappointed. I want to continue to use this, but I'm going to have to stop and see if my “issues” go away 😔

Product is great! Used for a long time. New packaging is going to be in marketing mistakes hall of fame. Horrible. We and MANY of our friends have stopped using due to new packaging. Unable to open without destroying the container. Clear from reviews below we are not only ones who really dislike and have troubles with packaging. Will be interesting to see if the company responds to its loyal customers or not or if it is just all about saving a couple of pennies to the bottom line…

I love the actual product and took it for several years, but the packaging has defeated me. I have arthritis, and it's unfair to suggest that those of us who have problems with opening the container aren't reading the instructions--we are, but just don't have the finger strength to pinch and pull! I've gone between buying a rival brand and hacking at a Vital Proteins container with a carving knife to transfer it to an old, plastic canister. Hate, hate, hate the new packaging.

This is a quick dissolving collagen that's without any flavor. I'm hoping this collagen is better than my last collagen because my nails are in horrible shape. My nails are splitting and breaking, I've never had that before. I'm giving this review a 4 start as I do not know how my nails will fair.

Thank you so much for removing the plastic measuring spoon and converting to cardboard packaging. I'm not sure why all the bad reviews about the new packaging. It's so easy to open if people would just follow the instructions! Do not go back to plastic. I look forward when all your plastic packaging is replaced. It seems only certain types are being replaced.

I just want to take the time to thank you for changing the lid and jar to an environmentally recyclable product. You must care about our enviroment and all the damage that plastic is doing to our planet. The jar and lid are made out of cardboard now. Brilliant idea! Thank you so much. We have been using this product for about a year and love it. My skin and nails never looked better!

LAST ONE I will have to change brands. I see your company has been advised that it is near impossible to open your new packaging. Instead of listening to your customers you are doubling down saying how" good this is for the environment. " This has the potential to put you out of business just an fyi. Your product is just not worth the fight.

I have used the blue collagen peptides for 3 years. I am always getting compliments for my skin and that I really have no wrinkles. I'm 62 years old and notice a lift in my facial skin. I have also noticed my skin changes if I stop using it. I mix the unflavored product with Mio drops and it works. I have now bought the capsule version for travel.

I love the new packaging! I felt guilty buying the monstrous plastic tub and considered stopping taking collagen because of it. But now with the new container, the qualms are gone. I also appreciate that there is no longer a scoop for the same reason. Before, the scoops would pile up and because of the size you can't recycle them. Besides, there's always the option of just using a regular tablespoon. Five stars for how well it dissolves and because of the new packaging. Four stars because it really is not flavorless, and because I've been taking it forever and I honestly don't know if it really makes a difference. (But how are you supposed to, really?)

I love the product itself but the packing is the worst! If you don't have a firm grip and strong hands you're not getting it open. I've had to wait days for someone to come open it for me. Another time I hacked into it myself with scissors and that was a disaster. I'll not buy again for this reason.
