I've been taking this product daily for 3 weeks. I hope I didn't stabilize the ingredients when I opened the top. This rip pull mechanism is not user friendly. The one line or so instruction was impossible to follow. I eventually opened the top and the lid is mishandled. So goes saving plastic, I have covered the top with plastic wrap and a rubberband and stored in dry place. Hope this is still affective for price and time.

the collagen mixes well in my coffee no clumps and no taste however the packaging is awful. if they want to make packaging like this then they should offer the original packaging and offer packaging like this as a refill they also had no scoop. terrible packaging hard to open not good for travel I'm talking about in the car I'm not a plane because it can easily be smashed. like I said it would be great if they would offer the original packaging with the scoop and use this sort of packaging as a refill for your previous container.

‼️Bugs in my container 🤢 For reference, I've been purchasing this product for years (back when it used to have a plastic screw on lid and they even included a scooper). I have no concerns with the formula as I have great results for my hair and nails. HOWEVER, my most recent purchase on 9/2/2025 from Sam's in Panama City, FL had small bugs in it. Unfortunately, I did not notice until halfway through the container, likely due to normally making my coffee in the dark. Thanks to an online Reddit forum I discovered the bug is called a Psocoptera, otherwise known as booklice. I'm not sure if this is due to the new style of packaging or an issue with the facility where the product came from. Either way, this seems like a common occurrence. I plan to reach out to Vital Proteins directly. Just sharing here as an FYI.

I love this product. I've been using it for about 18 months now, and I notice brighter skin and stronger hair and nails. I also LOVE the new sustainable packaging. I feel so much better about my monthly order not having to throw away a thick plastic container every month. For all the negative reviews -- it's not that hard to open, people. Just follow the very simple instructions on the container.

I've been buying this collagen from the grocery store over a year with good results. Decided to purchase through Sam's this time. Who in the world decided this flimsy paper canister was a good idea? I couldn't open it. Ended up using a knife to dangerously saw through the layers so I could dump it into a container of my own. Will not be buying this from Sam's again.

Love the product; however, the packaging is horrible! I will probably look for another product vs fighting it every time I open a new one. I applaud not using plastic but this is ridiculously hard to open. I would give them a better rating but I can't get past the packaging and how difficult it is to open.

Have used this product for several years. It's sad to say but I have decided to no longer purchase it. All because of the new cardboard opening. I have struggled with it the last few times, but this time I had to cut it open. I am a senior and I can't pull it open.

Would like you to sell vital protein marine version as well
