we were looking for a new, larger than we had smart tv to pick up all of the streaming services. we got this tv after looking at several and it is a good tv for the money but.... the controls to monitor the bright and dark is very limited. we have watched seveal movies that have some dark scenes and we have come to realize that some of the scenes are so dark that we cannot even see what is going on. very frustrating. the settings are set where you cannot change them with a ‘slide bar' so to speak. we have taken it off of the “standard” setting to “dynamic” and while that helps a bit when the scene changes to an out door setting it is way too bright. so... take this into consideration if you are looking at one of these tv's.

Mostly used to movies because am the indoor type and I wanted a TV that will give me a clear view. Being a "smart tv", it is easy to program recordings and stream shows. The size is very good, not oversized. I will surely purchase a Samsung upon replacement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this TV. I have a 43” Samsung that still works, but I needed an upgrade. I purchased this Crystal Smart Tv and I love it. There are so many features such as streaming and gaming. I have it paired with a Samsung sound bar and subwoofer and it creates an in-home theater experience. The picture is crystal clear and the sound is great.

Two things I don't like: I did notice that it doesn't do pure black colors as well (some light still shows up). Not a big deal to me though. I don't like the operating system as much as the Sony TV (which uses google TV) I also just purchased - the samsung one keeps a show playing while you try to navigate to another place. For some people, this is nice. But I didn't like it. But this is remedied if you don't like it by purchasing a new google chormecast with google tv (about 40 buck) and using that as your software. What I do like: I know I highlighted what I don't like, but for the price, it is a good tv so far. I think the brand will last longer and be better overall quality compared to other lower price companies. (I replaced a vizio which died after about 2 years...so I am hoping this one is better quality.)

I choose Samsung TV's (which I have five) because I believe their speakers have a better sound than any other brand out there. Even without external speakers the TV is clear and loud. Music sounds like it should. Action sounds like true action.

I watch my T.V all day long and I love it so much I bought another one and one for my boyfriend for his office.. It makes you feel like your inside the TV like on the field at the football game... I love how user friendly it is, the remote is easy and quick. The clarity of the picture is outstanding. The hues of color are so vivid. I feel as if I'm in my own movie theater. I love the choices of apps already included and the ease of adding more. Samsung makes the process so simple for purchasing new app subscriptions. The Samsung TV lineup offers so many choices of shows and movies. Even the internet browser is a breeze to use. I love them so much that I have a Samsung TV in 4 other rooms. I am mostly homebound so a great TV is essential. Thank you Samsung!

I can easily switch from TV to gaming and even watch pictures or videos from my phone or computer. The only drawback was the backlight let's were non functional straight out of the box.
