i had a 43" samsung tv for many years and it finally needed to be replaced. i would not think about buying another brand. my new tv is wonderful. on remote and i am set. you won't make a mistake if you buy a samsung.

The dark areas are very pixilated and there is nothing that can be done about it. It's a well known problem. I'm pretty disappointed with my tv. I have a much older samsung tv and the picture is better on that one.
