My 55" Samsung UHD ultra high definition TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a new Samsung 55" UHD smart TV. Due to my experience with Samsung products which have been Samsung galaxy phones. The picture quality is amazing and the overall quality of the TV far surpassed my expectations. I had no issues with the pre loaded apps and it is easy to install various apps that are available for it. I am going to be getting another Samsung smart TV soon only because I want a larger size. Also the price of their TV's are not going to break the bank. I don't think I'll ever purchase another manufacturer of electronics other than Samsung. I even upgraded my Galaxy S21 ultra for the new Galaxy S22 ultra which I am very pleased with but that's another topic.

Love our new TV

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The picture quality is fantastic! High contrast ratio and great reflection handling. Crisp colours and good responsiveness. We don't game on it, but constantly watch dimly-shot movies/tv and it's the best tv we'd had for that.

Good picture quality and colors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best tv in its category. Colors are better than competition, good app selection. Yet the remote socks, it always has a lag and goes beyond what I want to select. Comes with samsung tv plus channels nothing much interesting but its something to watch at times. Sound is pretty good for a medium size bedroom its more than adequate. I'm happy with the purchase.

Exactly what I was looking for.

Perfect

Picture looks fine but lag is horrible

i got this tv because the price was "right" for me as someone who doesn't watch very much tv. but you get what you pay for. i was satisfied at first, but after a few weeks the lag became extremely frustrating. the tv has hardly any storage space (mine shows 1.16 gb of total space - couldn't believe how little space there was) and it's pre-installed with junk partner apps and ads that you can't remove. i imagine this slows down the tv considerably and contributes to much of the lag. if you accidentally hit one of the pre-installed app buttons on the remote it takes up to 10 seconds to load, then you have to go back to the home screen to go back to the app you just were in, wasting another 10 seconds. overall i am disappointed, the tv looks fine but the experience is very frustrating.

What happened?

i typically look to samsung for quality products, but this television did not meet my expectation. 1. the wifi connection is unstable. 2. theres an issue with lagging - at times i'll make selections on the remote control and nothing happens on the tv for several seconds so i press the button again and the tv will perform that function twice. this is incredibly frustrating because you have to wait for the tv to respond all over again. 3. the settings arent as intuitive to navigate. if i could give this tv zero stars, i would. i am dissappointed.

Reggie: I am very sorry that you are experiencing Wi-Fi connection issues. You may want to go through these steps to check your network connection: 1) Check the distance between the TV and your modem or access point. The distance should not exceed 50 ft. (15.2 m). 2) Minimize interference by not using or turning off wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (WiFi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.) 3) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem. Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings >Support> Device Care> Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test 4) Please be sure you have the latest firmware update which enhances network connectivity. Version 1301.5 is now available on the Support page on the Samsung website. To optimize the smart TV performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps. I hope this helps to solve your concerns. Clarity is amazing!

The kids enjoy gaming out on the big screen, Dad enjoys the clarity for the big game and I enjoy streaming my Spotify directly to the TV for an afternoon cleaning session while jamming out.

We love the picture

The Samsung channels are great, Only downfall we have found is it does not work as well with antenna for local digital channels. Vizio seems to work better for that. Otherwise we replaced 3 of our televisions with this same TV except the one is larger.

Meh.

We received this unit as a gift. It's OK, but I don't like "smart" televisions. Integrating complex components like this is a recipe for obsolesce. I especially don't like "yet another app" for features I DO NOT NEED. Y'all have enough tentacles into my private life, enough already.
