We would use something similar to this model at our local gym daily. Condensed our workout to just this so we decided to buy one for home so we could save on the trips to gym. I did my research. Turned out that this is even better than the one we used. Thinking about buying another one so we can workout at the same time. The monitor takes two C batteries. It took a while longer to put it together but it was not torturous. My husband hates putting stuff together and did not complain once. Highly please with the results. It is awesome. Plus members have free shipping. No excuses. Love it.

The mechanics of the rower are quite good. If you just want a rower that gets the job done then this is a good one. The shortcomings are in the fit/finish and in the electronics. The assembly took some finesse due to the screw and bolt holes not all being aligned correctly, but I was able to muscle it together. Regarding the electronics, I did a direct side by side to compare the calories the rower calculates versus what the Polar app calculates. I had my heart rate monitor paired to both of them simultaneously to ensure the results were comparable. The Rower said I burned almost double the calories than what the app said.

We are converting one room in our home to a home gym. This rowing machine is equal to any commercial machine I have used in a gym. Smooth and easy to use. Set up is a little challenging. The biggest problem is getting the pin in (correctly) that holds the two main pieces together. Even in the video the guy doesn't have it right the first time, but it is corrected later in the video. Be patient this part is a pain. After it is together you will have a great machine and be very glad you bought it. I am so impressed with Stamina products that I bought a recumbent bike, that just came in today. I am looking forward to getting it together and giving it a try.

I have been rowing 2-3 times a week since 2007. I have tried Concept 2 Model D and E, WaterRower Ergs. I bought this rower in July 2019. I wanted to try it and compare it with Concept 2 Model D. I was pleasently surprised that it stacks against competition. I like the quality and no problems whatsoever with it. Concept 2 ModelD is $945.00, This is as good of machine as that but at lower pricing. I wish the monitor was as good as Concept 2. I have rowed on this Erg for 9 months (2-3 times a week) and very pleased with it.

Smooth and easy to use. Has a heart rate monitor belt and a good monitor.

Excellent quality once it’s together. Set up is difficult and requires patience. Some unorthodox work is required to get the two main sections to connect. But once it is put together, it’s an excellent machine.

Well built and comparable to Concept 2 in design and quality. However the monitor does not measure or show split times (time per 500 metres) which is the most useful metric for any serious rower. This is a major deficiency.

I have owned a Concept II rower in another state. I ordered this when I saw the price but the shape and lines of it were very similar so I gave it a try. As it turns out, I am loving it so far!

I love this rower! I always wanted a Concept 2 but didn't want to spend that much money. This rower is fantastic, well made, heavy duty construction. Pretty much all of the same features as that other rower at a much better price.
