Have been using this rower every day for 20 days. It was easy to put together and easy to use. I feel like it is well built and will hold up through many hours of use. When in use, it is fairly quiet. You can get a good workout in with this rower.

I have been using this machine every other day for several weeks now. I was impressed with the quality right out of the box. I had it carefully assembled in about an hour and started rowing. I did buy an after market seat pad because the factory seat alone is pure torture. I'm pretty sure I could never wear this machine out. It is very quiet so I can row away and watch Netflix and lose weight. My New Years resolution is to lose weight and this has really helped. I have dropped 15 pounds so far and have several more to go. So far this year I have not consumed a single soda or candy bar. I hope to go all year with this status.

This rower is great. My place of employment requires us to participate in a rowing fitness test, using a concept 2rower. They cost twice as much. This rower is almost the identical unit with better features. But what really sets it apart is the support and customer service from the manufacturer, hands down excellent. A nice smooth rower at half the price....a win, win situation.

I've used several different rowers in the past, this one stacks up to the more expensive brands that I've used. I don't think it's designed to be used in a gym or crossfit atmosphere but it's perfect for personal or family use.

So far, so good. I got it a month ago and have been using it pretty regularly (doing 5-10km on it per time). I lift weights and I am a pretty fit guy. It seems nearly identical to the Concept 2 that I use at the gym. It was pretty quick to put together and I have not had any issues at all with it. I have not tried to use the heart rate monitor that comes with it.

I had been looking for a suitable home rower for almost a year. As you probably know you can't even buy a Concept 2 right now and they haven't been available for over a year. I'm so glad I bought this rower instead! Someone needed to fill the need for a more affordable version of the C2 and this rower does it. Is it as good as C2? Is it better? For home use, I believe so. I would buy a C2 for a gym because of their proven durability, but functionally this rower delivers the same thing as a C2 for much less $$. For starters it is built strong. It weighs 99 lbs where a C2 weighs 55. I am guessing this rower has more steel in the frame and a C2 utilizes more aluminum. Otherwise it is remarkably similar to the C2. The fan is quieter than a C2. It makes a hissss sound more than anything which is not very loud. The seat makes absolutely no noise.This rower has a steel pull chain just like C2. The resistance is very close to the C2, maybe 10% easier to pull. You can adjust the fan from 1-10 just like the C2. My first workout was a 10 minute row on setting 7 and after 5 minutes I thought "what have I gotten myself into" so it's definitely going to let you challenge yourself. I personally like the computer BETTER than C2. The computer has an Indiglo backlight which makes the display so much easier to see. It runs on batteries so no cord to trip over. It counts in METERS which we all know and love, though you can switch it to miles. There are multiple programs, and a game, much like C2. And this comes with a heart rate strap that connects wireless directly to the rower. No need to download an app, set it up, connect with your wifi, enter a credit card just to use the machine like some rowers (NORDICTRAC). I wanted was the ability to fold the machine to store it. However I found you can just stand the machine on it's end and store it in a corner, so no issue there. So happy with this purchase and looking forward to getting in shape.

Similar to a Concept 2, although the computer/screen is not as versatile. Took about an hour to put together with only one sticking point. Operation so far (two weeks in) is fine. I've used Concept 2 rowers exclusively in CrossFit, and this is an excellent, slightly cheaper, home gym alternative.

I've had the rower about a month or so now. Assembly was easy and pretty straight forward. The machine seems well built, the only negative I have to say about it is, it has a slight vibration in the fan when using it. Nothing bad, and this may be normal for these types of rowers. I've never used any other rower before so I have nothing to compare it to. The other thing is more me learning how to use the machine than anything else, but I sometimes struggle to find the catch at the beginning of the stroke right away. So there is more slack than I think there should be, but I'm confident that this is more user error and improper form than anything else. I'm slowly getting the hang of it though. It gives a heck of a workout for me, and I look forward to using it for many years to come.

I was looking for a good alternative to a Concept 2 because of price and after much research this was it. Very solid and smooth with good features such as chain pull and damper to adjust resistance. Only minor disappointment is the programs available on the display- wish there were more options. Other that that very satisfied.

So, 99% of this rower is excellent. Compared to its popular, more expensive competitor, the only difference is the weird monitor controls. Everything else pretty much looks and feels the same. The downside is that it arrived with a broken footstrap clip. Pretty chincy plastic that seems to be made of unobtanium. The only way to receive this unobtanium is to repackage everything, mail it back, and receive an entirely new machine. Long story short, I'm not doing that, it takes an hour to set this thing up, probably more to repackage it. I'll buy something better. Why make parts out of cheap plastic unobtanium when they could be made from something better? 1 star for all the avoidable headache.
