I have taken it out now 6 times. I freaking love this kayak. Sturdy and stable and it's easy to get in and out of. The back rest for the seat is absolutely weak and could have been made much better. As for the paddles, they are fine besides not having a drip edge on them. Super lite and easy to carry or move around. Besides the backrest I absolutely recommend this kayak to everyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got mine on sale for an absolute steal, and I gotta say it's pretty nice. It does exactly what I want it to do. I'm a bit heavier of a guy than would probably get this at 230 lbs, but it handles my weight with no problems. It's extremely stable. I can fairly easily stand in it if I want to. I mostly use it in saltwater marsh areas and occasionally take it out on the river. Don't expect to hit and record speeds on this thing, but that's not what it's made for. That being said, it can keep up with most recreational kayaks. A few musts are a seat cushion or stadium seat, an anchor, a milk crate for storing things for easier access, a better paddle (the one it comes with is a bit flimsy and cheap feeling but it gets the job done), and a net in the storage compartments. It tracks fair enough, but I do wish I had gotten the 12 footer.

I have been fishing on lakes ponds and harbours, and it is stable, comfortable and easy to paddle. I recommend buying an extra long kayak paddle right away. Customer service is great as well, I lost the factory seat on the highway and they sent another right away express. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the Tamarack from WalMart for a great price. Shipped at no charge to my home and arrived in great shape. First outing was to pick up 30+ duck decoys stranded by excess rains in the area. The kayak was very stable and easy to paddle in all directions to pick up the decoys. Light enough to handle alone (at age 63) and easy to get into and out of the water. A great value. I'm even thinking about taking up fishing !!

After about 10 trips out I feel like I can give an honest review of this kayak. First off, it is pretty stable and seems to be very tough. It's light enough one guy can pack it but has handles on front and back as well as both sides for two people to carry. The rod holders are in a good position and the third rod holder is an awesome included feature. Plenty of storage front and back. The paddle that is included seems sturdy and I can really get the kayak moving with it. Tracking seems decent, I did find myself drifting to the left or right at times but overall is decent. All hardware seems to be installed properly. The seat for me is about a 7/10 as far as comfortability, it is adjustable. I would really recommend this kayak to anyone who is looking to purchase their first recreational kayak. Overall I really enjoy using it and it will be used on many more fishing trips!

Honestly, I gambled. Like most things, this is engineered with a fudge-factor involved as some 275lb guy will think "hey, I'm 275lb" and then doesn't think as he loads 30lbs of gear on as well. Well, this is rated at 275lbs, will float 330 very easily. About 1/2 inch of water comes through the scupper holes though... you can get scupper stoppers if that bothers you. Personally, it doesn't bother me one bit as I may be sweet but I'm not made of sugar so I won't melt in a little water. :) Just purchased, had it on the water twice first weekend (wife bought a Tioga model). Tracks well on the water. Oars need drip blockers to keep the water from rolling down your onto you, but that's literally my only complaint. Very satisfied. Would highly recommend.

For beginning into kayaking and kayak angling this is the kayak for you. I've been on mine 4 times going out again this weekend and haven't had any issue yet. This kayak looks better in person then online, and is really easy to use. The only con so far is the seat is a little uncomfortable (but for the price of kayak where I bought it easily can look over it) and the holes by the seat water likes to splash up so you will get wet (granted you are kayaking so this really isn't a huge issue just putting experience out). All together this kayak is a great starter if you wanna try kayaking and kayak fishing. Would HIGHLY reccomend this product.

I weigh 240 lbs and was amazed has to how this thing handled as well as the stability. I recently moved and the movers inadvertently lost one of the hatch covers. I went to the Lifetime page and chatted with Randy (customer service rep) within a minute he told me that they would send me out a replacement part free of charge. Outstanding product and outstanding customer service!! If only Comcast and AT&T could provide such customer service! I love you guys!

Has just enough room to carry his equipment. Bought a cart from lifetime also so he can roll it to the lake on his own. Of course we use it when the family goes out to play. Great quality!,

First fishing trip with this was 5 1/2 hours and I can't wait to do it again. Only down side is the size of the hatches. Slightly wider and this would be be PERFECT!
