Great customer service and wonderful product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Tamarack Angler fishing kayak 3 years ago and I love the stability and versatility of it. Recently I lost the circular hatch cover and needed to replace it. I called customer service and they are sending me out one for free. I couldn't believe they would do that....didn't even charge me for shipping! Great product and great customer service!!

Best Product, Bets Company, Best Customer Service

best company I have ever worked with. The lifetime guarantee really means something to them and they back that up with actions. If your in the market for any product they sell I would urge you to purchase it. You cannot work with a better company.

Looks like it should do the job but quality is minimal at best unfortunately

I bought this kayak about 3 weeks ago. I had really high hopes for it however I was really disappointed in it within 90 seconds of its first time out. Honestly, I've heard good things about this kayak and I think I got a lemon. After dragging it MAYBE 20-30 feet through some grassy brush to the water I managed to puncture/wear a hole in the bottom of the 'yak which caused me to ultimately essentially sink it as soon as I was far enough away from shore for it to be really inconvenient. I couldn't believe it. After about 3 hours of bailing the internal cavity of the kayak out I was able to make it back to shore safely. At first, I thought it was my fault. Don't drag your kayak, you dummy. Sometimes though you have to in order to get to that hunting or fishing spot due to brush, overgrowth etc. Upon further inspection I was shocked to feel how thin the kayak really was. You could have put a hole in it dragging across my wood flooring in my house. I spent some time discussing the potential repair with my local kayak shop and ultimately we decided it was not a financially sound direction and I will be purchasing a new kayak.

Fabulous Customer Service

This company deserves five stars, for sure! My son bought a kayak with his own money and realized that the lids were missing. The store could not find it so we contacted Lifetime and they sent it out right away. They did not even charge us anything for the missing parts. Super pleased with the customer service and glad to have my angler back out on the water again.

Good Service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought Tamarack Angler 100 Fishing Kayak (Paddle Included) less than half a year and worn out and was in bad condition. I tried to find a place to fix it but, theres was no place to fix it so, then I conacted the Lifetime company claim department about my Kayak. They checked all the information about the kayak and said that they would normaly deny these claims but, since my kayak was very new they wanted to assist me and get me a new one with no charge. Their costomer service was very understanding and clear.

Does what it is suppose to.

I love the kayak with storage and plenty of space for fishing gear, but there is a draw back and it's not the weight. They use plastic hooks to hold the back support strap on and with any weight of adjusting your self or wanting to lean back some the plastic hooks pop off. When they pop off you can imagine what it is like floating in water and what you expect to be there magically stops supporting you and pops off. This is a huge design flaw

Customer service is GREAT !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a hatch cover for my Angler kayak. I called LIfetime to see how much a hatch cover would cost. To my surprise, customer service sent a new hatch cover to me in less than a week at no cost. The customer service was GREAT.

Great kayak at a great price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a Tamarack 120 (Tamarack 100) from Walmart on 9-21-17. I am very please with the quality and features of the kayak. I used the kayak for three days on Kerr Lake in NC the following weekend. I found no defects or flaws with my kayak and the performance was better than I had even hoped for. It is a bit on the slow side, but that's to be expected to a 10 footer, so I knew that going into the purchase. But it tracks quite well for a shorter kayak. It is VERY stable...I can sit with my legs off the side without any problem. I could even stand in the kayak on flat water. It handles chop and boat waves with out any issues. The seat is extremely comfortable. I have fished in several different brands as loaners and I like this one better so far. I was considering a much more expensive kayak and figured I'd give this one a shot first. I'll be keeping this one. I would recommend this to any of my friends without hesitation.

A LittleToo Soft...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great kayak. it would be perfect with one exception. It is made from a type of material that gets soft in the hot sun. It is therefore easily damaged by J-Hooks(which I do not use! And I highly recommend avoiding the use of with this kayak! I use 2 foam, molded cradles,2 bungee cords front and back and 2 cam buckle straps), and the cam buckle straps that are commonly used to lash a kayak,or canoe, to the top of your vehicle. Mine was damaged in very early September of this past summer by the cam buckle straps that I use to lash it to the roof of my SUV.I don't lash it down very tight, just enough to keep it from wiggling side to side and from lifting up during high speed ,freeway travel. These straps loosened all on their own, thusly causing the damage by rubbing on the edge of the gunwale of my kayak as I drove home from Sonora,Ca. I found a solution for the problem, and after talking to the nice people at Lifetime, telling them of the problem, and my already worked out solution, which was approved by them (thank you, Alfonso, for your help!),I went ahead with a modification where I used some self-adhesive neoprene, 4 well nuts, and a 441 backing plate to make a protective barrier where the straps can go without damaging my boat. It's not pretty. Functional, but not pretty. Other than the above described issue, I find this to be a highly versatile and fun kayak. The storage, and inner hull access, are great. It has the best rod holder in its' price range. Tracking is great, thanks to the large hull skeg. I take it up and down the local river, where it does well in Class 2 rapids.I've also fished from it at a high altitude lake in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. This lake is at 9,676 feet above sea level, only a few acres in size, but some 90 feet deep(according to the fish finder that I installed on the Angler). It's clear water fed from snow melt. It' home to some very beautiful Brook, and Rainbow trout. It's difficult to access due to the road being little more than a 4 wheel drive only goat path ! But it's definitely worth the effort it takes to get there. Overall, it's a pretty great kayak! And I love my Lifetime Tamarack Angler kayak!
