It’s cruelty free and color safe which is an added plus with my fake red hair. It did well overall. I would have like more fragrance but that’s just personal preference.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who is super strict and vigilant about products they use on their hair I was pleasantly surprised by herbal essence! I typically used salon end products across the board for my hair but wanted to try this to give my best honest review. I maintained my normal routine to keep some constants and judge the shampoo for what it really is! It emulsified easily, smelt nice, and let little to no residue. I don’t think it improved how oily my roots get but thats more subjective to the person so not good or bad. I didn’t feel any irritation on my scalp or notice new sensitivities. Overall i really enjoyed trying something new and loved that it was better than i expected. I think this is a great affordable option for most people who don’t want to spend the money.
