I found a worm in mine :(

I purchased this item on the 20th of April, and put it directly into my freezer. I cooked about half the package of fillets a few days later. I did a baked cod, with rice. About half way through one of the fillets, and in between the flakey layers of flesh, was a rolled up cooked brownish worm. Very thin... rolled up like a cinnamon roll. I unrolled it out to about two inches long. I realize these are wild caught, and this is a natural part of nature. However, I do not believe I will be able to stomach purchasing them again.

Acceptable but not Excellent

Sams has carried Pacific cod loins under the brand Sea Cuisine for years but it seems this brand is no longer available so I bought the Member's Mark brand. I found there was variation in the size of the cod. Some of them were medium size while others were small and thin. Taste was ok. I am finding that Sams Club seems to be offering fewer brand names than in the past. However, the price is good compared to the fresh seafood offering at my local grocery store.

Used to be good

I previously submitted a review on this product but it was never posted. So I’m submitting another and taking a screen shot this time. I used to purchase this cod and loved it. Sam’s stopped selling it for a while and recently brought it back in stock. This is not the same quality product they used to sell. It appears that they have switched suppliers and the new product isn’t good at all. When I defrosted the fish, it released so much water. So much that it filled a plate. The cod loins were still soaking wet and spongy in texture. I used 6 paper towels to blot 6 loins. They still had water! I could literally squeeze the fish in my hand and they released more water. They also smelled extremely fishy. I cooked them with plenty of onion and garlic and they were still fishy. I did not enjoy my meal. I wish Sam’s club would start selling Alaskan seafood again. The taste and freshness is unmatched. I’m sure people are willing to pay a little more for better quality seafood. Please stop going with cheap suppliers that provide inferior products. I’ve already stopped buying several of your seafood items for the same reason.

Outstanding Cod

I coated these with melted butter and garlic salt and they were absolutely delicious, excellent product and well worth the money. The other great thing about them is the ingredients list has simply one, cod. A lot of the other types available have all kinds of detrimental ingredients in them. I just want the cod and that's what this is, cod.

Different packaging that is terrible & could spoil

This product has changed recently. I had purchased these before (as pictured in the description). I figured they had changed the packaging to a clear/yellow package & the vacuum sealing on each of the filets is extremely subpar. Just about all of the them were no longer sealed & had to be resealed using my own vacuum sealer to keep them from getting freezer burnt.

Love the cod

Love love this cod, but for months now unable to get. They have salmon and everything else but not this. When you get so use to a product it's sad when you can't get it for months again. Next it will ask if I would recommend this product and it's a yes but you just can't get it.

Horrible fish

I used to buy a lot of this fish for my food trucks, it was perfect. I spent about $3,000 a week on this fish, now the quality is horrible, it's tough, it has a lot of brown meat and skin, when I clean it and remove the skin and hard pieces I end up wasting fish and money, many of my customers started complaining about the quality of the fish, yesterday was my last time buying this product it's sad it used to be my favorite, now I found a company that brings them from Alaska and it's better quality.
