This item provides the foundation that is needed to customize your sandwich & add what you like. I did grill some onions & orange peppers to add & it made a fantastic addition. The bread, meat & cheese taste like high quality ingredients. I followed the directions & used the microwave method because it's too hot right now to use the oven but I will like to try cooking it in the oven to see if there's a difference. I have no complaints about the microwave method and look forward to having another one!

I was disappointed that it was a little blend but the bigger problem is one of the sandwiches has no cheese in it. I am picky about Philly cheese steak. But one big requirement is it has to have cheese. One of the photos shows it lacked of cheese.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. We used the oven method to make the sandwiches. They were good but plain. The steak was well seasoned and the cheese melted nicely. I cooked peppers and onions while they were in the oven and added them before serving along with some mayo. Like this they seemed more like a real cheese steak sandwich. The bread was sturdy enough to hold all of the toppings.

The meat and cheese taste pretty pretty good but there is too much bread to meat and cheese ratio. I ended up not eating a quarter of the bread because there was too much bread and not enough meat and cheese. but again not too bad for a microwaved Philly steak and cheese.

My family used to get these all the time but we got sick of them for a while so we stopped and got other things. I recently wanted them again so I got a box. Of course they are not authentic Philly cheese sandwiches. They are frozen in a box from sams club after all. But what they are are, is a roast beef and cheese sandwich. Perfect size for a meal or snack depending on your appetite. The meat is tender. Has a very slight pepper/onion taste and smell but it’s not bad at all. I don’t even like onions or peppers and I eat these just fine. The bread is soft. It’s got a slice of white American cheese. These are fine to eat as is or fix them up a little. For me, I like to open them up fix the meat on eavenly, add another slice of cheese, usually provolone or pepper Jack, and sautéed mushrooms if I have some. My husband likes to add mustard and let and tomato. I think for the price they are worth it.

They were wrapped in a special wrapper that allowed for perfect microwaving! No soggy sandwich! They are also great for the oven especially when feeding a large crowd.
