So far, works as expected. The batteries came already charged (nice touch)! Not real thrilled with the microphone/earpiece headset. However, you get what you pay for.

I bought Midland because I used their CBS years ago; never had any problems. These were purchased for camping, hiking, biking in remote areas. I trust the quality and dependability.

We use these on the jobsite and they work well and are very durable. They are dropped and kicked around by the employees and hold up well for the cost.

Haven’t had time to really stretch them out. But probably about a mile or so and seem to work great. Also ordered Motorola T465. They can communicate with each other. Plan on putting them both to the test to see who wins. So far. Happy with both.

36 mile range? can't even reach 1 mile.

I purchased the items cuz I thought it would be for observ police scanner completely misleading absolutely doesn't work for that

I have only had the set for a few weeks but in in hilly areas the range was only about 1 mile. Probably better for flat land or road trip use
