I am totally new to the GMRS radio world. I purchased also the MXT400 Mobile unit for our Jeep to go with the handheld GXT1000's They work well together and look forward to years of service from them both.

36 mile range? can't even reach 1 mile.

I haven't used these for the purpose intended yet, (communicating between motorcycles) but they seem to be good quality radios at a very good price.

Great product!! I use these in tandem with my MXT500 radio when hopping out of the vehicle for a quick spot. Comms are Key!

Needed these for staff to coordinate work effort. Sound is clear, distance is adequate, recharge feature is great. Good purchase

Prefect small radio to switch between vehicles with out needing to hardwire in something. Really like the weather built in.

Used in the mountains at a huge music festival and they worked great. Also worked great with the motorhome and jeep.

I have only had the set for a few weeks but in in hilly areas the range was only about 1 mile. Probably better for flat land or road trip use

We use them for our emergency response team when there is bad weather and we have not had any issues with them.

We bought these for Caravan road trips with our Car Club. We haven't used them yet but they seem like they will meet our needs.
