The mattress arrived as expected - in a vacuum compressed roll inside a carton. Was very pleased that after opening, and laying it on the existing box spring set I had, the mattress expanded to a full 13 inch height. My wife feels more comfortable on this mattress than the previous Serta firm we had. She has back problems.I hope the mattress holds up over time. We shall see.

If I would have written a review in the first few months, it would have been five stars. The mattress was perfect for me. For a while. Within the first year, it started sagging. I'm roughly 230 lbs, so I would imagine a little better life than what it has given. It's been close to three years and it is now impossible to sleep on, unless you like laying in one spot all night (where it has sagged).

For the money, you can't beat it and it might be perfect for others... but it is not working for us. the mattress is firm, as described, but the top (pillowtop as probably called) is like a condensed foam that gives and my body would sink a little until it hits the mattress part. I believe this is reason why it is a warm mattress. It is warm, no matter if we use a light cover or warm comforter, the mattress felt warmer than normal; not a comfortable sleep equation. We'd just purchased a king mattress from our local Sam's store a few months ago and very happy with it, so we are going to exchange this back with the same brand we'd purchased before even though it cost a little more money

Bought this mattress to replace our serta perfect sleeper mattress. the mattress is far more comfortable than the serta was when new. it is soft yet firm, I can comfortably sleep on side or back in this mattress where as on the serta i could only sleep on side. expanded to full 13" in less than 3 hours with no foam odor. Have only had mattress for under a month but so far it's the best mattress I have owned, and in my 50 yrs I have owned quite a few.

I bought this mattress after reading numerous reviews from different sites with almost perfect stars.I have had back surgery and wanted something that would help me to sleep better. The mattress came on time, very easy to set up. But after only one day of sleeping on it my back was killing me i figured my body needed to adjust but nothing has worked even went to get a massage. I have gone back to my old mattress after 1 week (thank God i hadn't thrown it away yet). Now i'm stuck with trying to sell it since it can't be returend.

I was a bit skeptical in making this purchase, however after a great deal of thought upon reading the reviews I thought I would give it a try. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. After placing this on the bed I was sleeping on it just a few hours later. I would not say the back relief was instant, however, in about a week I was waking with no back pain. I have looked at quite a few name brands that were very expensive and in comparison this was hands down the best

I couldn't be happier with this mattress, we waited about 4 months and based ourselves on reviews, it was a bit hard to believe how good this mattress was. Finally after so many nights of back pain and tossing around with our old mattress, we woke up and decided to go for it, we received it fast and when we took it out, we felt the difference already, boyyyy, the first night my wife and I slept like babies. This mattress is amazing, it's already been a week and we are happy everyday that passes by. Will recommended to anyone complaining about back pain.

My husband and I decided to take a chance on a bed we could replace without heartburn if it didn't meet our needs, so we bypassed the expensive beds and thought we'd try this one. He has back problems and I often wake up with sore shoulders. Not anymore! His back hasn't been nearly as stiff in the mornings and my shoulders are just fine now. When you lay on the bed it seems very firm, and you don't really sink into it like you expect, yet the bed isn't hard. I know, strange. Firm but not hard? It's a great combination!

We laid this out to expand for a total of 3 days. The corners never really expanded and the "pillow-top" is bigger than the mattress. The base is nice however the bed skirt that came with it is to small. We've slept on it three nights in hope that it'd soften up unfortunately its till as hard as a rock. I'll be returning it as soon as I figure out how to do so.

I was a bit dubious of the steel springs incorporated in this mattress's design, but they are not evident at all when you sleep on it. They provide the "give" that helps shape this mattress to your contours, while the memory foam and high density foam cushion you. We replaced a 12 year old foam mattress that had lost its cushioning effect. We have always had a platform bed, so the mattress lies directly on plywood panels as the only support. The only con so far is that the edges are soft, making sitting on the edge of the bed a little more difficult than with the solid foam mattress. Our bed is low enough that this is not a problem. For the price, this is a real value.
