I am happy and have no regrets!

I bought it two or three weeks ago. I am very pleased. I do not regret it for a moment. In my 50 years, this is my third watch. I will say frankly, I do not want to take it off, but sometimes my hand needs a rest and the watch needs charging. They work as stated. The battery lasts 8-12 days, it all depends on how much you charge it and how often you play with it. By playing, I mean using GPS, using additional functions. The bracelet is comfortable. I recommend it to friends and acquaintances. I can’t say anything to strangers, you don’t know me!?!?

VivoActive5 different than VivoActive4

I have worn a Garmin VivoActive4 fitness watch for several years. It has been far superior than the other brand fitness watches I wore previously. I just recently purchased a Garmin VivoActive5 fitness watch mainly because the VivoActive4 battery was losing charge over time. Overall features of the VivoActive5 are improved including the OLED display, additional health trackers and supposedly an improved Garmin Elevate heart rate sensor and sensor technology. But the difference in heart rate readings and data between my VivoActive4 and new VivoActive5 are very different. Cardio Activities that are in my target heart rate zone ranges on my VivoActive4 watch are much lower on the VivoActive5 doing the exact same Cario workouts. I have no explanation for this other than maybe the heart rate sensors in the VivoActive5 are more sensitive. But very concerning that I am now not achieving my fitness goals. Only the fitness watch has changed. Sleep data is also different. And, charge life of the VivoActive5 is limited if all functions are on (Pulse Ox level readings, notifications, etc.).

Keeps disconnecting

I've had vivoactive for about a year now. I have to pair it with my cell phone several times a week. Its very frustrating. Sometimes it will pair right away, sometimes I have to play with it & try over & over. I am seriously thinking of switching to another brand. I have had several Garmins. Time to jump ship & go with another brand.

Best Smartwatch for the Money

I have had this a month now and it has been the best smartwatch I have had. I use to have Apple Watches and this is a huge improvement in comfort, fit, and health tracking. Plus it’s cheaper than all the watches minus the SE. I was really considering getting another Apple Watch but I mainly wanted a watch for health and sleep tracking. So it was between this and Oura. I can’t do the Oura because of my work. This has been way better in every way than I thought it would be. My only complaint is the casing of the watch is easily damaged. So if that bothers you I would get a cover.

Great watch in category value to the money

I wear the watch for almost a month. I really like the user interface. It is easy to navigate and customizable enough. Display has vivid colours and it is easily readable during the day. I was considering this watch and more expensive Venu 3. Venu is according to my taste better lookin, features are very similar, but price is almost double. I bought this watch beause I did not want a bigger watch on my wrist. This watch is very light weight. I appreciate that over some heavier smart watch. I have no intention to make phone calls from a watch, but I already experienced several times around the house and in cold outside. Someone is calling, you look at the watch anyway and it would be just so seamless to pick up a quick phone call (which you could do on Venu 3). Overall it is a great watch and I think it scores very high in performance for the money you paid for it.

Sorry Garmin!

I have used an Apple Watch since 2019, but their inability to produce a new model with a reasonable battery life really got me wanting to try something new. I'd really like to track my sleep and not have to charge my battery sometime in the middle of each day. My fiance is a police officer and loves his Garmin Instinct and it's crazy long battery life, functions for golfing and hiking! After research I went with the Vivoactive 5 for it's fitness tracking and great battery. My daughter also jumped on board and got the same watch. Unfortunately, I had issues from the start. I walk while working at my computer. You cannot set the watch to count steps accurately if you['re typing on your computer and walking. I even tried putting it on an ankle strap. The distance on the treadmill never matched the distance on the watch - yet it was almost spot on with my Apple Watch. I joined a sub-Reddit and tried multiple different things, turning off GPS and heart rate monitor, putting in your pocket and a few other experiments - none worked nor tracked distance accurately! This might not seem like a huge deal for some, but this is mainly what I use mine for so it is for me. The battery is amazing, sleep tracking so insightful! The interface could use some work and is not smooth, it feels very "android" and not like Apple, which unfortunately I've been indoctrinated to love! Old habits die hard I guess, and so I returned my Vivoactive 5 and went back to my Apple Watch which I have to charge in the middle of the day for about an hour if I want to wear it through the night. My daughter really loves hers, and I really wanted it to work for me, but the distance being off so greatly was a hard pass. Sorry Garmin!

Amazing display capabilities

I purchased the Vívoactive 5 to replace my Vívoactive 4s. The display capabilities of the new watch are spot on and have exceeded some of the past features. It’s nice to be able to scroll through your features. I like the sleep report and end of the day report too. However, I do miss a few features like the auto start for activities and the pause for time while I was engaging in activities. I was also disappointed that I had a new charging cable. I always like to have a backup, but I don’t want to have to purchase yet another charging cord.

Great watch

Wife got it for me for Christmas and so far I love it. Battery life is excellent and features are great. Previously owned A Viviactive 3 which still works from 2017 purchase. It was difficult to change faces of late. Battery last much longer than Apple Watch and cost less but works just as good.

Glad I got this!

Really a nice fitness watch. Got this to replace a Vivosmart 4 and I really like this fitness tracker. I keep finding things it can do everyday. Works well with my phone and I get alerts to messages and other important information. The only thing my Vivosmart 4 could do that this doesn't is report stair flights walked up or down. However I don't use stairs much so it doesn't matter. It does so much I can't believe it. I am really glad I got this watch/fitness tracker.

Easy to use and wear

Although it is bigger than I like, it is very comfortable and lightweight on my wrist. It is easy to use, once I read the online manual. It keeps me inline. I also appreciate that I can track hydration on the watch instead of going through the app. There is so much to the watch I haven't even begun to use them all.
