Not sure

It doesn’t seem as though my watch is calculating correctly. In one instance my watch said my “body battery” was 90%, just two hours later on my day off, it says -1%. Also even though I turned off multiple notifications from my phone, I am still getting notifications on my watch. Great features just not sure they are working correctly.

Exactly What I Expected

I love the features on this Garmin watch! It does exactly what I was expecting—accurate tracking, intuitive interface, and all the functionality I need right on my wrist. Whether it's for fitness, navigation, or everyday use, it performs reliably and lives up to its reputation. Very satisfied with my purchase!

Wow, I was missing out

I have fallen head over heels for this watch. It can do so much more than my old Fitbit. I love how many features it tracks and are available FOR FREE! I don't know why I didn't think of Garmin first. Now, I am hooked and a life long Garmin consumer.

Confusing

I had a Fitbit for years and absolutely loved it it was easy to set on the items I wanted to track it was very easy to read the watch and or the corresponding info from my phone. I do not know how to work this Garmin. I am not a tech person… What should I have to be to know how to work my smart watch???? I wish there was a human I could contact to teach me if this watch can do the things I require it to do. The simplest thing like I don't even know how to set it to track my walks, or my swims… There is no timer... I do not believe my sleep data is accurate. I wake up multiple times every single night yet this tracks that I have zero awake times. Not happy with this product. Plus it seems it needs to be charged way too often.

Well rounded watch with some soft edges.

The watch performs well for the price point. The heart rate is within 1-3 bpm on average and the sleep score is very close as well. The display is vibrant and easy to read, although some apps are cut off on the edges as they were designed for larger watches in mind, but scaled back to work for this model. Where the watch lacks though is the distance algorithm for non gps runs. Sometimes it is dead on, other times, like on an indoor track, it will jump around from a 25 minute mile, to a 4 minute mile randomly. The watch display is great, but the physical glass is soft. I have multiple scratches on it after a few months of daily use. Not a big deal for me, but for those who would be bothered by it, I'm sure it's a deal breaker. Tldr; solid watch that performs well 80% of the time; build quality is lacking and a screen protector is recommended.

Not right

Long time Garmin vivoactive watch owner. Bought the version 5 as the battery died on my previous Garmin watch. Very disappointed. 3 day battery life. Watch face randomly changed. Will not wake out of sleep mode. Multiple other annoying quarks. Do not want to have to be a computer programmer to know the time of day and my heart rate. Would not recommend this product

Really disappointed

I like the watch however it is not user friendly trying to sync with other apps I user on a daily basis. I have watched multiple videos and this watch is a headache. I wish it were more user friendly. I sent the watch back and got a Fitbit because I never had issues synching with other apps. It goes into some type of sleep mode and I don’t get my text or call alerts when this happens.

So far so good

I switched from a Fitbit to the Garmin vivo5 and wished I did it sooner. It's a great watch. Easy to use and stats are simple. The only feature I would have appreciated is the workout options. I would add just a basic workout feature or cross training for those that do mixed training such as strength and conditioning.

It's ok.

I've oowned the Vivoactive 3 & 4 and really liked them, especially the Vivoactive 4. I am a 76 year old female, very active, walking 15K to 20K steps every day. The problem I have with the Vivoactive 5 is the font size of the information.. Even set at the largest font size it's barely readable with my 76 year old eyes without using glasses. The Vivoactive 3 & 4 had individual readouts for steps, floors, heartbeat, etc. and was very easy to read without reading glasses. Also the Vivoactive 4 had "Floors" which I always used with the steps and I averaged 15+ floors everyday (I live in a mountain area). But, bottom line, the Vivoactive 5 is usable and is loaded with features I care nothing about with a readout that's marginal in font size but, it tracks steps well.
