I think this is my 4th Garmin and I love this one the best. They continue to refine the coaching helps, the brightness of the display is second to none (which I am thankful for as I get older), it’s the lightest one I’ve had so I don’t mind wearing it while I sleep so I can track sleep trends and it’s not as expensive as some of the other models. I use it primarily for running, golf and walking.

I bought this mainly due to some health issues that I’ve been having and needed to be able to check my heart rate. I’ve had the opportunity to compare the heart rate versus monitor and it is very accurate, no complaints at all with this aspect. But to track these I have everything running in the background and can get barely two days out of the battery. Besides the issue for me it does everything it should and the price point was very reasonable.

I’ve been using this for almost a month and no complaints here! Love the look (round face) over my previous watch for sure. Main reason for switching was for tracking my workouts plus more. Does everything my previous watch did and price point is definitely better. In love and won’t go back!!

I decided to upgrade to the vivoactive 5 from the vivoactive 4 for improved data and metrics. Love it since day 1! Colors on the screen are brighter. The sleep coach has been helpful to guide my rest and recovery. HRV is useful to adjust my workouts, stress and be mindful for breaks!

I purchased the Vivoactive 5 about a month ago and love it. I really like the rest period count downs between sets when I do my strength training. I like the health apps. I am finding sleep coach very helpful in dealing with insomnia. The only disappointment was that there was not a hike app. I created one but it does not count steps. Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase.

Very accurate and slim watch that does exactly what it says it does. It has become an important tool in my husband's wardrobe for monitoring his heart symptoms and has prevented quite a few feinting episodes. It has also become a great measure to show to doctors to pursue treatment. Easy to use and worth the cost. The only thing we dislike is the charging, which makes it sit weird on the counter but ultimately this is just a personal preference that does not hinder the overall quality of the device. After almost a year of use, no damage has occurred either, so they are built strong. I personally will be looking into Garmin's more advanced watches thanks to how nice this one is.

I've wore the Vivoactive watches, 1 and 3 since April 2015 and absolutely loved them. I'm an Apple iPhone guy but always chose Garmin products due to their durability and battery life. Vivoactive 1 & 3 were great watches for their time and I had high hopes for the 5 but they have all fallen short. Battery life has been great until the recent updates, which required me to completely reset the watch back to the defaults. The touch screens are really picky and extremely short even with the settings extended and set to low sensitivity. You can't get through the settings without the watch timing out and going back to the main screen constantly having to restart the seek and find process. I've this watch for nearly a year and wear it everyday, only taking it off to charge. This might be my last Garmin VivoActive, maybe going to a higher brand watch of theirs. But certainly frustrated with this watch and wish I took it back months ago.

I've been using a fitbit for walking plus a golf watch for golfing for 10 years. Nice to have one watch for both!! The only downside, the garmin watch doesn't record as many steps for things like mowing the yard, etc. where the arms are swinging. Way more features than I use but overall really like the product.

I have had a Vivofit 4 for many years. The Vivoactive 5 is a major step up. The sleep data is in more depth, and you can overlay respiration and pulse. All the activities I do are included and easy to access. The only issue so far, I cannot adjust the pool length to 10 yards which is our community pool.

My first smart watch was a Garmin 10 years ago and then I went to the competitor that I thought had more advanced features. Not so any more! I'm very happy with this Garmin Vivoactive 5--the steps, sleep score, heart beat, and all the other data that syncs with my phone via Garmin connect really beats the competition. While the other big names were resting on their perceived reputation, Garmin was out researching and out developing the competitors.. Eleven day battery support--and to think, one of Garmin's competitors is bragging about 22 hours. I've had this watch for a couple of weeks and still learning additional features but I highly recommend it..
