I have been most impressed with the "ASUS Vivobook 15.6" FHD Windows Laptop | Intel Core i5 | 12GB Laptop". It is the first ASUS device I've owned, but it won't be the last. Performance, design, light weight, excellent display with fast processor and adequate RAM and SSD for my purposes. I'm not a gamer. Most frequently, I have purchased Dell Business laptops or HP, but this ASUS is their equal at a value added price. Plus, I appreciate Sam's Club service and the laptop being in stock. That's what keeps me a happy Sam's Club customer for many years, purchases, across numerous cities. Online service has also been great and has made me a Plus Member. Thanks Sam's Club.

Others reviews are accurate. It won’t load the most current version of windows so you get stuck in a cycle of install then uninstall. It runs very hot and the battery doesn’t last long at all.

Windows 11 requires an internet access to complete the initial Windows setup successfully. To complete the initial Windows setup, check if this laptop has access to an established wireless router and internet service is working properly. It is normal that excessive heat is generated while the laptop is under heavy load. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full throttle. Please ensure the air ventilation is free from obstructions to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. To improve or prolong the battery charge life, if it is draining faster than normal. please try to do battery calibration manually. To start with, please drain it completely then charge it fully without using the system. Once fully charged, please use the laptop, without the AC adapter connected, and let the battery drain completely again. Please repeat the charging process thereafter. After doing a ton of research I had high hopes for this laptop. Unfortunately I'll be returning it. Camera doesn't support windows hello, and no fingerprint reader. USB C does not support dock for external monitors. Above all, the screen resolution is extremely washed out, and the build quality feels like hollow plastic. Additionally even with significant RAM, the laptop seems to drag for basic functions such as Microsoft Office, Zoom and web browsing. Pictures depicted it would be slim and sleek, however it's rather bulky and heavy. Battery life is also not great, maybe 4-5 hours at full charge. I gave it a week to see if I could live with it and it's just not the one. Nothing against Sams Club- delivery process was fine

Would Not Upgrade

The computer seemed like it was fine. However, I couldn't get it to upgrade to the latest version of Windows. It started the upgrade and then said it found a problem and backed it out. I tried various things for 4 days. I called ASUS support and then informed me that their computer was fine and it was a Windows issue. Took the computer back and bought a different brand. It was fine.

Battery life is horrible

I bought one that wouldnt charge, returned it and bought another one, thinking that my previous one was just faulty. The second one charged all night it was 100% battery. My son used it to do homework about 45 mins later it started to signal for low battery. There were no tabs open, no other apps running...nothing!! Now i have invested into a complete different brand.

Laptop died within 6 months

My laptop died within 6 months of purchase. I contacted ASUS as I have a 1-year warranty. I provided the Sam's Club receipt as proof of my purchase. They asked for a receipt that contains the serial number (S/N) of the laptop, which Sam's Club doesn't provide on their receipts. I contacted Sam's Club customer service to provide me with proof of purchase for the laptop S/N. Their customer service is horrible. I have been waiting for 2 weeks, I contacted multiple times by phone and chat, no update. Every time they promise me a response within a few minutes, they forget. Is this the way you guarantee satisfaction?
