I read all these negative reviews. Here's with my iMac. Occasionally, there is a printing concern. I've had bad printing to multiple blank labels coming out of the machine. Here's what I do and it's my 'go to' procedure: Disconnect the printer and unplug it. Give it a couple of minutes to fully discharge. On the Mac,go to System Setting >Printers> Printers and Scanners> Dymo Labelwriter and remove the printer with the minus (-) sign. Restart your Mac. Connect the printer to power and connect the USB cable. Then go back to System Settings >Printers> Printers and Scanners> and add the printer with the plus(+) sign. You may need to restart the Mac again, yet that's pretty much all there is to it. Stuff happens. Don't panic and take a moment. This is especially likely after an OS update/upgrade.

I have using Turbo 450. Was working with Catalina. Purchased Twin Turbo and now I'm in trouble. I tried to install the Twin Turbo on the same Mac as the 450, but the printer wouldn't show up in the printer list. I tried to update software, but Apple would not permit it because it couldn't be checked for "malicious content." I thought I might need to uninstall the old software and use the new software, but the was really dumb and a HUGE MISTAKE. Now I have no software that works. DYMO need to update the software for Catalina 64-bit. Don't purchase DYMO until they do.

I use my Dymo printer all day long. We are constantly sending out letters and mailers. It is quick, convenient and I use it to label everything, not just mail. My only "complaint" if it can even be called that is that it is not cost effective for large mailers of 100+ people. It is cheaper just to print my own labels on the sheets but for individual labels, this printer just cannot be beat.

The printer is really great and I would recommend it. The older 5lb. Capacity, pelouze scale is another matter. I've had nothing but trouble with it. Even though the unit supposedly has an automatic shut-off to save battery life, I've found my battery scale dead more often than I care to admit. I don't use the postage scale that often so the battery should have lasted a long time. Now, it's not working at all. There is just some bizzare error code in the screen for a couple of minutes after I unplug and replug the USB cord, then it dies. I would hope this was just a defective unit, or they improved the new models.

I have owned this unit for many years and love what it does. The physical device is very reliable. The software works once that you get it installed - but it can be a chore getting the software installed. Have used Dymo Label Printer software for years and now I cannot find that app - appear to be forced to use Dymo Connect which cannot find the Dymo printer that has always been attached to my Mac.

I WANT THE OLD SAFTWARE v.8 BACK.......WHO THE HECK DESIGNED THIS NEW SOFTWARE. IT IS HORRIBLE. I WANT MY v8 WHERE CAN I FIND IT ON THE WEBSTIE. THIS MAKES ME WANT TO PURCHASE A NEW MACHINE JUST TO AVOID THIS SOFTWARE. THE DESIGNERS MUST HAVE NEVER WORKED IN AN OFFICE WHERE TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE OR THEY ARE JUST STUPID......

Brand new printer freezes when switching label sizes in the software. You have to power cycle the printer to get it to print after changing label sizes. I contacted support about this issue and they tried to suggest that my printer had failed. Mind you - it's new. Now there's a software update and it created new problems. It didn't uninstall the old version, it has fun new bugs. Amazingly, they didn't even address the old problems. It seems like we're just stacking issues now. So with this support experience, and the terrible software (it's REALLY bad), I cannot recommend this product. *Updated: Since DYMO responded to me I figured I'd try their support advice. The URL provided is a dead link. This is the type of support I was expressing issues with previously. It would be nice if I would have actually got support, instead it was a canned message about compatibility. Despite my OS and system specs being completely in-line with DYMO expectations. They don't even update their URLs for support downloads. How can I fix the issues I'm having if support can't even get me to the right URL? This is what I mean by stacking issues...

I have been using this label writer for almost 7 years now with no issues. Software updates are easy and quick. The only thing I have had to buy in the past 7 years is the label tape. This is used in an office setting too with almost daily use. Cannot recommend this enough!

Product works well when it works. Software is terrible. Often the machine loses connection with the PC. You have discreet the USB cable, power off and reboot it. Almost unusable. Release packaged as 8.7.3 in fact is not. It is 8.7.0. It is not 32 bit.

Basically everyone on here is saying the same. Software sucks. I have to connect the printer AFTER installing the software. Sounds easy enough. Except that doesn't work. And if I connected it first, then what should I do? No instructions. Perhaps you are doomed forever and have to return the printer and buy one from another company. I tried uninstalling the software and drivers and restarting my computer (keep in mind I did follow the instruction to install the software first in the first pace!). Still, does not seem to detect my printer. Perhaps they think this will make people upgrade to their latest printer? Well I don't think they understand how it feel to have such a crappy product experience.
