LabelWriter 450 Twin Turbo

Great little machine! User friendly. We have several Dymo 450 Twin Turbo machines in our office.

Junk

Loved my previous Dymo. Simple to use and always reliable. This model, however, is flimsy. Software is complex and buggy. Repeatedly need to reset (shut-down, re-start) the Dymo & my computer. Lacks adequate label guides to keep labels well-aligned. Lots of label waste. And there's more.

Works like a champ!

I've had this printer for about 2 years. I have had no problems with it whatsoever. Works like a champ. I just wish Dymo had a twin port wireless printer. Sometimes I need to print something from my phone. No way to do that with this thermal printer.

Missing a major function

We purchased this labelwriter to print both postage and UPC labels. For our business we need to use 1" x 1" labels for UPC A, which the software will not support. It will not allow you to shrink the UPC to fit within the 1" area. What a waste to think how much money your company may be losing to companies who have to send out to a third party to print the exact same thing they could be printing in house.

Printer sending blanks and weird line prints

Products worked well. Experienced a jam in one of the slots. Cleared jam. But have been unable to print labels the same since. Also suddenly prints out labels with random lines and patterns. Found the other review in which dymo has said that the machine has been put into test mode. Followed the instructions found under the other review, however. The printer continues to spit out blank or lined labels. How to fix this?!?

Supports many label types! Reliable!

I have used the DYMO LabelWriter 450 Twin Turbo Direct Thermal Label Printer for several years. I own three: one for home office use and one at each of two non-profit organizations where I volunteer as the treasurer. I can print a variety of labels, including stamps (although I prefer Stamps.com). Since this is a twin unit, I usually have delivery address labels in one side and stamps in the other. I only swap the labels when I need to print something unique (for me), such as file folder labels. Like many other customers, I prefer the older DYMO software, but that's easily remedied by downloading DYMO Label v.8.
