The handle on this safe is plastic. I’m pretty sure it is stripped - since I cannot open the door. Consequently, the contents are secure - from everyone including me. Wasted my money - since I will probably have to have it drilled to get inside NOT HAPPY!!

I Absolutely Love this Safe for Many Reasons. The Obvious Three being the fact that it is Fire, Water & Burglar, Proof. Beside those three, two of the Main Reasons I bought this style Safe is that it has a file drawer, like in a file cabinet, so I can keep my files Safe (in case of a fire) and Orderly at the same time, and a shelf to lay important papers on. The last two reasons is because it has a Digital and Key Lock which makes it easier to remember the combination and it has a light on the inside of the door.

I bought this safe about 2 weeks ago and so far, really love this safe! Pros: Good size for the money Fireproof & waterproof Interior Light Comes with a trays for easy organization Master code can be changed & secondary code can be added Cons: Light only stays on for about 10-15 seconds Key is only secondary lock - Key WILL NOT OPEN SAFE!! Overall, really love my new safe but really seems useless that the key is only a secondary lock but dont even open the safe! Just better make sure you keep 4 extra AAA's laying around so you can open your safe!

I love my new safe. I love the light in the safe, the large drawer for documents, & the smaller drawer to hold the little things. The digital combination is great, too. It's easy to open & close the safe once you enter the code. I definitely recommend this safe to anyone.

Decided on the 205 series because of its size and fire rating. The Sentry water proof feature is not applicable if you need to anchor the safe to the floor. The minute you drill the holes for the anchor bolts it is no longer water tight. Definitely a no brainer, but this fact is not clear until the buyer actually reads the manual and instructions for anchoring.

The size of this safe along with the water and fire resistant features make this the perfect safe for our home. For years we have paid high annual rental fees for a safety deposit box at our bank that only has 1/3 of the space available in this safe. This safe will pay for itself in less than 5 years after canceling our safe deposit box. Its strong and sturdy appearance along with a digital combination that allows us to set our own entry code makes this right choice for our family.

I've had this safe about two years. Electronic lock is a pain if you forget to change the batteries they corrode and you have to reset the combo. Now it doesn't work at all. Fresh batteries, clean contacts and the key pad is dead. No clue what to do to get in.

The only feature I do not like is the feel of locking the safe.  It does not feel like a solid lock, I find myself raising the handle to ensure it is locked.  The other concern is there should be a way to illuminate the combination keys before pressing the keys to open.  Besides that it appears it will do the job.

Good all-around features, size, and fire rating for the price (at Costco). When shopping for a safe, you need to determine your objective(s) - security, multi-access, fire protection, flooding, capacity, etc. Where it is placed will dictate ratings needed (near ceiling or near floor, 2nd floor wooden structure, sprinkled location, potential for flooding, etc.) . Not impressed with online information - dumbed-down site (but quality videos) - would have like to seen more information on statistics on what damage happens to most safe content under varied conditions, how hot a fire gets at various places in the home, etc. Also - manual instructions for setting options (light on duration, keypad beeps) doesn't specify that you need to enter your code immediately before making option changes (which makes sense). Would also like to see information on what to not use inside your safe - like a plastic sheet protector will melt / shrink around your document (inside can get up to 350 deg.)
