We bought this flooring for our children’s rooms, as they had all destroyed their carpet. As an intermediate DIYer, it was fairly easy for me to install these. Getting started was the hardest part, and it helps to have various cutting tools to make the job easier. I loved the pictures of the flooring online, but when it came it looked a little different to me in the box. However, once it was installed, it looked like it did in the pictures. My kids love their new floors, and I love that I don’t need to worry about spills and stains anymore. The only issue was that of the 42 boxes I ordered, two boxes (on the bottom of the pallet) had damaged boards, and one was missing a board. I was able to use them, but I’m not sure why those two were included in the pallet. They were obviously damaged before they were shipped- the one box was missing the plastic, and the other was open in the side where the damage was- but it worked out in the end.

Great quality product. Looks beautiful. Easy to install for a handy first-timer. There were a few boards that were damaged from the banding straps used to secure to pallet but those were easily able to be used in areas where cuts were necessary. Great experience with this product. Only issue I have is that the moldings found in the store are actually a different size than the moldings purchased online. This delayed the finish of the flooring due to waiting for 12' moldings to arrive. Not the end of the world - just something to be aware of and prepare for as the moldings in-store are only 3' in length.

Beautiful floor. Easy to clean. Easy to install. Quality product. Unlike the depot of home items, this product is strong, sturdy, and built to last. Clicks together easily. Highly recommend.

I am very happy so far. Just had this installed last couple of weeks. It is the prettiest color I have ever seen. Looks like real wood and is very durable. I simply love it!!

Love this flooring. It's easy to install with minimal tools. Used it for my basement, so the added padding and thickens make it ideal.

We bought & self-installed 600sq ft of this laminate throughout our basement and could not be happier! It's super sturdy product with a solid underlayment (although it does require a vapor barrier if you're installing over concrete). We were very impressed by the variation in patterns (I counted between 8-10 board patterns before they were repeated). And I love that the tone is a warm brown-- doesn't skew gray, green, or pink. The knots and patterns look incredibly real and I love that it's a very low-sheen finish and the boards are slightly textured. I have looked at A LOT of laminate and vinyl flooring and this stuff is top-notch with an unbelievable price point. Because the boards are 14mm (super thick for laminate!) you'll need a circular saw to cut this well. We couldn't get a manual lever cutter to deliver a clean cut. We also paid to have our basement concrete subfloor leveled so we could avoid creaky boards. I've attached a few photos to show it installed-- keep in mind our basement has very little natural light, so the tone skews darker. Also: my local Sam's store gave me a VERY HARD TIME when I tried to return the excess, unopened boxes. They did... eventually... but not without a prolonged, escalated conflict.

We got these floors around the same time my brother-in-law had floors installed by a local company. Our floors were much thicker and seemed like much higher quality. My husband said they were easy to install so I'll have to take his word for it. Also, the color and look was exactly what I wanted. Not too dark and not too light. A nice modern tone. We've had the floors for a couple months now and they don't show dirt tracked in by my kids and have held up well so far. Finally, I was super impressed by the customer service by Select Surfaces. They were so helpful when we reached out with an issue. I would recommend them over and over!

There was a little bit of damage on the corners of some of the flooring. I was able to work around that by putting it where I could cut that off. Other than that it was fine.

We used Select Surfaces Heritage Oak Spill Defense Laminate Flooring on about 1200 sq ft of our main living floor and in one bedroom. Unlike many reviewers, we experienced no difficulty with installation. So far we have liked how the floor looks, but it seems we will have a problem with durability. We now have three divots in the floor that go completely through the laminate layer due to dropping small objects. The objects we dropped are: a water bottle lid, a spoon, and another water bottle lid. I feel like commercially rated flooring should not chip when you drop a spoon. So far the floor still looks good, but after a few years I wonder how many chips and divots we will see due to dropped spoons.

Now that it’s been laid down for four months, I notice places where they have chipped!!! I love the color of the floors not the quality of them. I did my entire downstairs and this investment is going to cost me in the long run. Such a waste of money.
