Fine TV, Lousy Remote

tv has met expectation aside form the occasional network communication issue a poorly designed remote. every one has different preferences but it feels like this remote was designed to put the least used buttons at your fingertips and the most used out of the way. often need to turn on the light to use. antithesis of intuitive...

A firmware update is available which may help improve your network connection. Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. Very nice basic Smart TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] setting up the tv was super easy. the remote is very basic and not one of the samsung one remotes. but the remote gets the job done. it was easy to add apps such as netflix, disney+, youtube, etc. i didn't notice any lag when playing on my ps4 or watching a movie on disney+. if i had to rate this tv on a scale of 1-10, 10 being best, this would be a solid 8. i just wish it had more than 2 hdmi ports.

The pros and the cons!

beautiful tv; beautiful picture after much tweaking & updating; blurry at first but the update(s) should have remedied that. tv speaker is sub-par; i have a soundbar now which makes a big difference. cons: i do not like the interface; the apps are all over the place; very disorganized and cluttered. don't like the remote control! it's tedious to navigate. updating: there is an automatic update feature in your settings, but i went into samsung's web site to check for a possible download which there was, & you must save it to a "flash drive". make sure to unzip the files then insert it into your tv's usb port to load. though i am quite capable of doing this, not everyone is. it is an inconvenience. still it is a quality tv for the price and samsung is one of the best.

Crystal Clear

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just love my TV! It is truly crystal clear. I love how simplistic everything is. The menu and the apps are easy to access. I didn't even have to plug in my ROKU, because the tv has all the apps I need!

Screen Flickering, less responsive software

On the second day itself, the TV started flickering, and it happened the third day well. Its just 3rd day and now I have decided to send it back to Sams. The TV remote is less responsive. If you move from one alphabet to other, it lags for atlest a second, very slow processor. Apple cast works well, but does not work well with android(google phone) Please do not buy this product. It is not only cheap in money but also quality. Better to buy 55 inch sony than 65 inch samsung.

Great TV, disappointed with the remote

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Picture clarity is great. Sound pretty good for built-in speakers. Easy setup. Only dissatisfaction is with the remote control. We have a 55 inch Samsung smart tv that included a smart remote with voice input. My wife has difficulty with this remote. Too many buttons for visually handicap person.

Way too dark. Please fix!

i was excited about this product because of the price, 4k, and smart tv features. the picture is good in light scenes, however the backlighting is terrible in dark scenes. if the scene is dark you can barely make out what's on the screen. frustrating to watch tv and not be able to make out what you're watching because of brightness issues. brightness only goes up to 50. please fix the backlight issue, its 2020, we should be able to see whats on screen. also, the remote is not very user friendly.

Great value

bought this 58" on a whim as it was open box and it was incredibly cheap so all it had was the power cord and no remote nor instructions. got it home and set it up very easily and was pleased to find out the remote from my previous samsung tv worked perfectly with it so i did not have to buy a universal remote. the size is perfect for my apartment and i would say the pic quality and sound is above par. all in all a great buy.

Great TV With One Exception

i love my new samsung 55” smart tv. the picture and sound quality are great, the remote control is easy to use and the inputs work well with my hdmi connection for my blueray player. the only complaint i have is that the pre-loaded apps cannot be deleted. i am 70 yrs old and am not interested in the pre-loaded apps. if i were interested in any of these, i would subscribe and add them myself. this causes me to have to scroll through all of the apps on the home screen to get to my favorites. since buying the tv, i have added three streaming services, sling tv, discovery+ and britbox. they are currently the last three listed on the home screen. i wish the apps that i don't use could be deleted or at least be re-ordered so i could easily navigate to my three favorites.

Nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use mainly for TV, from Xfinity box/dvr hook up. The TV works great, with crisp picture and very friendly web interface. Easy to use screen items, and remote is easy to use. So far owned for one month. Had issues with other Samsung Tv's but this was a deal, and people seemed to like it. Hope it lasts us years.
