To assist with your sound going out: 1) Please check the volume control of your TV, and then check the volume control of any external devices (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between any external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again. 2) Set Sound Output to TV Speaker by going to Settings > Sound > Sound Output. 3) Check whether Digital Output Audio Format is set to Pass-Through by going to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format > Auto. To ensure performance is fully optimized, please ensure your TV is running the latest firmware as this may help with the freezing. You may first want to check to see if your batteries are working. Next, you may want to contact your cable company to see if an upgraded box is available. Please also be sure that the distance between the cable box and TV is not too far apart. Then reset the connection of your remote by going to Source > Universal Remote Setup. I hope this helps.
