Looks and works good

Ordered in February and delivered mid March. Was concerned with all the bad reviews before tv was delivered. First thing I did was update to new firmware per comments from Samsung. Netflix took about 30 min to work after update. I didn't want to spend a lot so this fit my budget perfectly. Not sure why only two HDMI since last years 7 series had three. Not a big fan of the remote. I prefer the remote that came with the 740d version I also recently purchased. No issues with tv.

Bad performer

It performs pretty poorly in an ambient day-lit room. I can't even watch this during the day or in a room with lighting. You can't even see any dark scene. I've tried ALL the recommended adjustments. It's been bad tech since day one, though okay for daytime cooking shows. But sometimes you just want to watch a movie. Watching any Alien series would be impossible.

Black screen in a couple of days

TV worked fine for the first couple of days, then the screen went black presumably from a faulty back light strip. The menus and and sound still work, but the screen is still black. Otherwise, the screen was great for 4K gaming until it unfortunately broke.

Kevin: If you've switched on your TV and the sound comes through fine, but you're not seeing any picture; there are 3 potential issues. 1) A connection issue; the most common problem. Where there is a bad connection, faulty cables or improper installation. 2) An issue with the device connected to the TV. There may be a video output setting on the device that you must set properly before it will output to the TV. 3) There is something wrong with the TV, which will require a technician to assess the TV and find a solution. The 'Samsung TU7000 Full Manual' is available online. Refer to pages 135-140 for step-by-step troubleshooting instructions. Warning no simple brightness adjustment on this.

It's a nice color when it's visible. Whatever has been done to eliminate the visible image of dark scenes in a brighter room, other than an entire night, is a failure. And I have tried all the "expert" advice to make this thing work. The sad thing is that we also bought six 65-inches of this series at work, and they are just as bad. And the remotes are now absolutely senior citizen-proof; the ADA should investigate that person....

Disappointed that Samsung would sell this

This TV was very disappointing. I have owned another Samsung TV that still works 16 years later. I bought this model in 2022 thinking that it would be a good purchase. However, the display has become so dark that it is hard to watch anything. There are 5 round lights in the back screen of this TV but the corners are all dark. A product of such low quality should not have been released to the public.
