Shame on you Samsung
i purchased a 65" ru71000 4k uhd tv and washer around 3 years ago together. shortly after 1 year, both quit working. my tv went to a black screen with occasional flash of light. highly disappointed in you samsung. who has the money for your products that just lead to more money within such a short span of time?
Hi jenndcook06, We are very sorry to hear about your experience with the TU7000 TV. Please know we are here to help you. If your TV has a black screen even when it's on, it's quite possible it could actually be your external device and not your TV. Please try these troubleshooting steps for your blank screen issue: 1. Press the Home button on the remote. If the menu appears, the TV is powered on but is either not on the correct source or not receiving a signal. If the menu does not appear, the TV may be having power issues. Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. In normal use, the red standby light is on when the TV is off (indicating the TV is on standby), and the red standby light is off when the TV is in use (or doesn't have power). 2. Confirm the TV is set to the same source as the external device. For instance, if your cable box is connected to HDMI 1, set the TV source to HDMI 1. If the TV is set to the correct source, but there is still no image, unplug and reconnect the AV connections one cable at a time from both ends of each cable. If there's any damage to the cable, it will need to be replaced. After you've reconnected the external device, turn it off and then back on. 3. Test the HDMI cable. Some TVs have an HDMI cable test. Some models only have this test after a software update, and older models do not have it. If your model does not have this test, or is not connected by HDMI, skip to the next step. The test is designed for HDMI cords less than 6 feet long and may not give accurate results on long cords. To perform the test, make sure the TV's source is still on the HDMI setting for the cable you want to test, and then navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test. If the test says, the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required. 4. Test different external devices. The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting to a different device or using a different source port. If you were unable to test the cable in the previous step, then try swapping the cable, too. If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it. If your issue persists, please give us a call so we can troubleshoot with you. Gun shy
Considering I have only had this tv for less than a year, I will reserve judgement, as my last Samsung died on me 2 days after the warranty expired! I will turn it on sometimes and I have no sound and I have to go through all the features to get it to work!
More problematic than smart
bought this tv hoping to have a full solution for all my streaming apps. not the case. apps often display erratic behavior. tv's os is surprisingly slow for a linux platform too. picture quality is good. but needed to buy a roku, essentially rendering this tv as “dumb” and wasting some cash.
CDavinci: Thank you for choosing this Samsung TU7000 4K Smart TV. I apologize for the issues you are experiencing with your apps. The issue with the Apps may be related to your network connection and quality. We suggest you try the following: 1. Use 5G WiFi if possible 2. Try wired LAN if available 3. Try repositioning the router so there are no obstacles between your TV and the router Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update. You may want to enable automatic updates for conveniences. Select Settings- Support- Software Update, then select Auto Update. Additionally, to optimize the smart TV performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care. This improves your apps performance as it frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps. I hope these tips help resolve your concerns. Should you need further assistance, please contact our Customer Support. 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM -12AM EST, 7 days a week Or visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link in the upper right corner of the homepage for: 1) Contact Us Options (LiveChat, Remote Support, Facebook, Twitter) 2) Product Support 3) Manuals and Downloads 4) Warranty Info 5) Product Registration: Registering your product gives you access to easy warranty support, convenient opt-in to special promos and offers, faster troubleshooting and service, and quick notification of system updates 6) Samsung Community: A great resource for getting help from Samsung moderators and customers and more 7) …and more product, repair, order, and care options ~ Samsung Solutions

Great purchase!
i was amazed when we set up this tv and first turned it on; the picture quality difference from our old lg was immediately noticeable. it was a great price point, a very easy set-up, and has amazing quality! the only two minor cons are i can't seem to connect the smart tv with a few apps i wanted to add, and we still have to use our directv remote to change the channel, which isn't ideal. but minor hindrances compared to the pros of this tv!
This smart TV is the best TV I ever bought!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this TV for YouTube Netflix, Cox cable and HBO there are also internet apps that I use it for. I can hook my Samsung galaxy up to it and my Galaxy 7S tablet does cray stuffs to it as well!!! I am in heaven for real!!!!
Have had this TV for 6 weeks and it is great. I have it ceiling mounted in my gazebo where I watch my Blue Jays games. I use my 5k wifi to stream the games. The super definition reduces the expected reflections one gets when out doors. I have it blue toothed to a set of speakers. Love it!
Hello, thank you for your 5 star review and feedback. We will pass your comments along to our store staff and hope you visit us again someday soon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WELL, HOW I USE MY TV IS WATCHING AND STREAMING A LOT OF MOVIES THRU THE FIRESTICK OR THRU THE PRE INSTALLED APPS AND ITS AN AWESOME JOB HOW I LOVE MY TV AND WOULDNT CHANGE ANYTHING FROM HAVING THIS TV IN MY HOME AND NOT ANY OTHER TV WILL DO FOR ME
It has its pluses...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My three year old Sony died on me and I purchased this samsung on sale. I do like the picture quality as well as the enhanced features such as more interaction level through youtube than my last TV. However it is a little buggy as I stream HBO Max and it does not work on this TV. It worked fine on my last TV as well as through Roku but after repeated attempts with a number of different movies/shows it freezes up on this TV every time. I did google this issue and it appears that I am not alone.
