I LOVE THIS WATCH!!! This watch laughs at drops, scrapes, and even swims. I give the instinct 2 a score of ten because it is a perfect mix of elegance, durability and usefulness. You can feel when you put it on the quality and durability of the watch. It looks great with any outfit surprisingly and doesn't stick out like I thought it would. Everybody and their brother in my unit has one of these and now I understand why. For the price this watch has blown me out of the water.

My son gave me this watch for Christmas. He is a U.S Marine, and he has the same watch. I wore a Samsung galaxy watch for years and it was starting to get beat up. When my Son gave this watch I wasn't loving it at first. It took my awhile to get used to not having a touch screen. I still struggle with the buttons and seeing the screen. After wearing since Christmas I now love this watch. It is comfortable to wear even while sleeping. It definitely keeps better track of health data. The app is also better than the Samsung app.

I've had it for a month.. Once you get used to the buttons and functions it's pretty easy to use. I track all my runs walks hike HIIT and strength workouts. I've brought it into my sauna steam room hot tub and cold bath and swims and it's still going. Only takeaway I wish I got the Solar. But battery life is still good..

I was a Fitbit 4 user for a few years until it broke, tried the Fitbit 5 but its measure of total calories was high by +50% although the screen was colorful and easy to read. So, I did some research and selected the Garmin Instinct 2. The screen is low contrast and a bit difficult to read. The measure of calories burned during a workout is very underestimated. For example, I know that I burn 500-700 calories in a heavy weightlifting workout of 60-75 min. The Garmin registers 200-250, and 60-80 of that is resting rate. It sometimes gets no readings for sleep time. All of the “features” for 20-30 different exercises are somewhat useless if it cant measure calories accurately. I hoped to simply have heartbeat, total calories burned in a day and as a subset, calories burned in a workout. The Garmin falls short of providing that accurately. NOT recommended. I wish i had returned it!

As a disclaimer, I'm not using it to it's full potential. I don't need the email and messages alert, so I keep the Bluetooth off. The heart rate monitor, and the solar function are the main reasons I bought it. It will last full over two weeks in this mode. I'm outside a lot, so the solar charging extends it's run time as well. After a few years of sweat and abuse, the band broke at one of the holes for the tightening arm. Easily replaced. I travel a lot, so I just connect it briefly to my phone to get the tine updated. No fiddly button presses to adjust it to the tine zone.

The Garmin Instinct 2 Smartwatch, with its impressive array of features and rugged design, has proven to be an exceptional companion.

Great training tool to make sure you get your prime training. I use this for mountain biking, hiking, lifting, etc. it is way easier that the old instinct solar. The lay out is better and much easier to use but still familiar. There really isn't a need to get the Fenix or Epix unless your needs require it. For everyday training and use this is a great value. I can keep up with my training and see how I'm progressing. Highly recommend

Never did I owned a watch that is able to follow me along no matter the activity I'm doing. Battery life is great. GPS works great. No color or amoled screen but do you really need that? I know I don't. I mostly will not want to pay for that either. Value for features, it is hard to find a comparable GPS watch other than the Coros Pace 3...

I wanted: 1. Great battery life so that I don't have to charge another device every day. 2. A smartwatch which does not try to replace my big and beautiful smartphone display. I don't mind reaching out to my jeans pocket for taking out my smartphone. 3. A fully loaded fitness tracker. Instinct 2 ticks all my requirement buckets.
