More than what I was expecting

I've been using this for 2 months, and I am so far very pleased. I knew what I wanted, a device to track my runs and give me data-driven feedback, with simple consoles. My runs and rides are measurable, which make my activities a totally different thing.

Very small text

The watch has the features I was looking for and performs well. The only problem I have is how small the text is especially when I receive a text message. I have a medical device that sends me readings and alarms via my phone and watch. The small text Makes it difficult for me to see my readings. I've tried to follow some self help videos but they are far too advanced for me.

Awesome Watch

I've been wearing this watch everyday for about a month. And I love it. I love the display, granted it's not as "flashy" as some of the other options. Everything is very easy to see, I love that the heart rate is constantly monitoring and I love the layout of the home page. The display is easy to see in any level of brightness. I've used the running, stair master, pickleball, and snowboarding activities. I didn't realize the amount of information it would gather while doing certain activities, which was a pleasant surprise. I needed a tough watch for my job, anxious to see how well this watch holds up.

So far so good..

I bought this to replace my 310XT. It has waaaay more features than I think I'll ever use, but it's nice to have so many options. Easy set-up once you figure out which button does what. I printed the instructions, and 100+ pages is a little much for a watch, but they are very detailed and everything is in there. Overall A-

Perfect watch

I LOVE THIS WATCH!!! This watch laughs at drops, scrapes, and even swims. Its intuitive interface and packed-in features like multisport GPS, advanced training metrics, and stress tracking keep you on top of your game, both physically and mentally. The Garmin Instinct 2 isn't just a watch; it's your wilderness co-pilot. This rugged GPS smartwatch is built for the harshest treks, hottest climbs, and deepest dives, all while looking killer on your wrist.

Tough and reliable

I was a Fitbit user. My first one dropped off my wrist and hit the pavement, breaking the watch face. My second one came off while working in the attic and was lost in deep insulation. Now I wear a Garmin Instinct 2. The band is super tough and has two loops to hold the loose end of the band in place. The band has a superior design - it's thick, silicone rubber with a metal clasp that makes me confident it won't fall off. I have caught the device on things and smacked it pretty hard while working in the shop. It stays in place and so far has no scratches on it. Let's face it - these things are built with everyone in mind: golfers, bikers, runners, mountain climbers….. and me. A guy who wears a watch while working on projects and someone who likes to see and track his heart rate. It has way too many features for me but who cares? I just don't use them. It does what I need it to do and it is tough and reliable. The GPS feature and related features are my favorite. Track back, area measurement, and tracking my hikes and walks around the neighborhood. I also like a marking my spot and saving the coordinates - works well for hunting and exploring. As a bonus, I get alerts on my watch when I get emails or texts. This is good for me as I don't care to get into the habit of using my watch as a Dick Tracy two-way radio…. But it's nice to glance at the alert and see if I need to stop what I am doing and answer the message. I purposely chose this device over an iWatch. It's waterproof! Which is good not because I dive with it, but because I do normal things that get the watch wet. It's worry free that way. Currently I am putting up sheetrock and the white dust is everywhere. I just hose off my watch and voila! Overall, the price, the features, the band and the rugged nature of the device makes this a great purchase.

Very good watch

I've had the watch for 3-4 weeks now. It keeps good information and lots of features which I'll be figuring out for a while...lol . The drawbacks so far one is the silicone band it does not agree with my skin so purchasing a nylon one and it doesn't seem to be as easy with counting steps as is fitbit or I health usually a few 1000 short of their numbers

Amazing battery life, great fitness features

I am a runner who has used an Apple Watch for years before this and only recently decided to make the switch to Garmin. I have had my Instinct 2 for about 2 weeks now and I absolutely love it! I feel like I've leveled up my running game with all the data and workout suggestions I get. I also love not having to worry about battery life at all. It pairs seamlessly with my iPhone and other apps like Strava. My only regret is not making the switch to Garmin sooner!

Garmin Instinct 2

The battery is good for 19 days without charging., quality built is good and it's just simple the way I want. The time is readable in sunlight. I'm very satisfied. I did the research first and decided to get this under my price range. Highly recommended.

Better than Fitbit

After my Fitbit just randomly stopped working. It would just restart, that's it. This was after having it for a year after their recall on the last Fitbit I had. So kinda upset at this point, but purchasing the Instinct 2 I wish I would have bought from Garmin in the first place. It has more features, longer battery life, less app issues or connections not working. Haven't had any "bugs" like I had with my fitbit. So far I love it!!!
