The clear view of the recording at night is great!!! I love how the spot light comes on when there is movement on the camera! The app we downloaded for our phones works perfect also! We get alerts when we are not home! Which i love so i know my packages are there when I am expecting something especially with all our packages coming in for Christmas!!! I HIGHLY recommend these! The quality of the cameras is great! They are nice and feel/look great.

Itnwas very easy to set up and the cameras have the clearest pictures and the spotlight is so bright by the second night we knew who or what was messing around our yard . It wasnt the monsters my kids thought it was . The spotlight blinded the whole little family of racoons . That was making so much noise . The pictures are so clear . This is so easy to set and Like that alarms are.sent straight to my phone and I can see what is happening at my home when Im not there

Recently purchased one of these new 4K systems. I had a 5 year old 1080P system and thought I would upgrade. Will return as basic features that did exist no longer do. Expected it to be better quality video and add and enhance features from the older application. Not the case. Although the video recording quality seems good, the system is now missing basic features such as being able to record audio. My old system had 2 audio recording channels connected directly to audio cameras. I had an audio camera in the front and rear of my home. New system has no audio recording or playback although sales description have wireless cameras states recording of audio. does not make sense. System only seems to be able to Export video based on "Events". Old system I could set a start and end time for exporting. Sometimes small movements are not part of an Event and the recording of sound would also not be an event but you may want to export with the sound just for timeframe of sound. Have given videos to the police multiple times. Cannot give up that feature. Only reason for "Continuous" recording a channel would be to be able to export a range of time and for sound. Strange that an "Upgrade" would result in less basic features than previous very old systems. Not sure who designs these and decides what features. Time to go elsewhere

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my very first security camera system, so keep that in mind. I don't know how much of these things are common in other products. I really like these cameras. Out of the box, everything is labeled very nicely. Wires have tags that tell you where they plug into, and the install directions are explained very clearly. So, first impressions are inviting. I plugged everything in my room just to check if everything worked, and to check recorder box. Once it all checked out, I was able to install the cameras outside. The wires were all 60 feet long which for my house was plenty. They sell extended wires on their site which is cool. Once I was able to really settle everything in place, I was able to get a good understanding of the software on both the box/monitor and the app on my phone. The UI on the monitor was bland, but very straight forward. That's fine because I care more about the ease of use than I do on how pretty it looks. The menus were straight forward and very intuitive to navigate. The resolution is 4k in the sense that the resolution size is 4k, but the actual quality of the image is just OK. It's a security camera... I'm not filming a blockbuster on it. Facial recognition is awesome, and at least the clarity is great. You can play with exposure and contrast, but they don't drastically change for the better. These cameras are leagues far above average securities cameras though so don't think that they're terrible or anything. The app is very good, and the notifications are great because you can change the sensitivity of what wakes up the camera. Which is great, because you can make it pretty relaxed or else you'll get notified whenever a leaf passes in view. I really do like the cameras, and I really do like my decision to get them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Night Owl Wired Security System works flawlessly. The 60 foot cords fit hardwiring that are included were plenty for our application, but longer cords are available as well. The camera instillation was quick as we were able to run the wires outside on the walls. We do have previous experience, so that should be stated. Directions for in wall running of the cords were also included and quite thorough. Where these cameras really shine is the picture quality. Through the app you can check in from anywhere with wifi and see as if you were there. Less than 5 second lag time and alert notifications are helpful. There is no need for monthly plans and fees with the included hard drive. The human detection settings work well, but other things still occasionally trip the light. Overall it’s a great product and was exactly what we needed for keeping an eye remotely on our property.

Installation can seem a bit overwhelming when opening the box but there are step by step tutorials and videos you can watch, if needed. Plus, they have a website and number to call if you have any difficulty with installation or setup. App works well with the system. The 4K makes picture quality very clear! Spotlights are bright and definitely light up the night outside. Spotlights can be turned off for ones used indoors. I like the fact that you can expand the system and add more cameras later if needed. Very pleased!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This night owl system is amazing I just finished installing it and the install went very easy it’s a super simple setup even with 12 channels the wiring is the hardest part and that’s all plug and play I love the features the massive hard drive and the camera resolution is great I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great product at a great price point

Bought this and it was a snap to set up. If you follow the instructions. Works great I am happy with the results. No issues and can see and talk back and forth to any camera from anywhere and it lets you know if it’s a person, motion or vehicle or all 3

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had these Night Owl 12 Channel 4K DVR with 1TB HDD and 4 x 4K Wired Light Cameras professionally installed for me so they were done right and as soon as they were up, I was instantly impressed with how easy the app was to set up and use (even for me) - I have an iPhone and the set up was very easy. The cameras are also great, I love the very bright spotlights, which add extra security. The cameras also have a very wide view so I can see so much more than with my previous cameras. I am purchasing another set, which will cover my entire property.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The setup for the night will 4k system is relatively easy. It comes with a generous length of coax for connecting the cameras. My favorite feature is the spot light built in for night time. I live in a very rural area, so it gets quite dark. Having the extra light is nice to have. The cameras themselves put out a great image that I can view on our tv or my phone. This is a great system to gain added security around your property. I plan on adding more cameras that extend to my shop on the back of the property.
