We bought this Panasonic microwave over 6 years ago. It's been a hard working and reliable 'part of the family' for all this time. It finally died last night and we're buying another one today. I realize that some of the reviewers may have gotten the occasional lemon, but those things happen with anything. I would highly recommend this microwave to anyone looking for a great bargain on a very efficient piece of equipment.

We bought this in July of 2022. I did like it at first but just after a year it started failing. You can hear it start out strong and then it weakens. You can never tell how long you need to cook something because the power flucuates. I have owned several microwaves and have never had this happen. We are tired of dealing with this and are going to have to get a new microwave after only 18 months.

I bought this yesterday and when I plugged it in today and used it for the first time it makes a horrible buzzing grinding noise. I thought it was the rotating plate so I took that out and it still makes the sound. I guess it's a trip back to Sam's to return it.

Make sure to check to see that the glass turns. I kept noticing odd things like cold spots, burnt spots, etc but couldn't figure out why. And since it was only in the stuff over a minute, I don't use it very often, and I never stand in front of my microwave, it was almost a year before I figured out it was the lack of turning that's been the problem all along. It's now too late to return it so just want others to check right away before you're out almost $200 after taxes.

Had a panosonic microwave for 3p0 years. No problems. It went out. Ordered this one. When it arrived the box was all taped up. Took it out has a small dent in top of door. Nice looking tried it out. Works, hoping it will work well considering the packaging. See photos. Hate when I buy something new and it has dents in it.

I bought this microwave oven to replace one that broke down. (Also a Panasonic, and also purchased at Sam's.) That one lasted 15 years, and I hope that this one will, too. I deducted one star because the display has become too simplistic. My old one used to display text messages, such as "Sensor" or "Enjoy your meal!" This one only shows numbers.

My microwave is less rhan a year old, and started overheating causing my breakers to trip. Hot to the touch on the outside, and we cannot use. Not a household electrical issue, but a microwave manufacturing issue. Panasonic is not working hard to honor the warranty. This seems to be a common issue for this microwave, bases on online research. If you buy this, and something needs to be fixed or repaired under warranty, you may be out of luck to get manufacturer help.

Purchased on June 25 and today August 10, 2021 it will not operate. Never in at least 30 years of microwave purchase. Service represent says nothing can be done, never again will purchase Panasonic products, and then tells me that I must pay to ship the 60 lb product to service center. Told agent I would spend money on filing fee to sue.

I had my eye on this product for about 6 months and when our old microwave failed, got this one from Sam's. This unit is more of an extra oven. The unit has many nice features, but bottom line is, it's large, it cooks fantastic, reheats super and is attractive. Happy my old one failed and blessed to have this one :)

Bought 2 on 9/23 and already went out. There is an error code, H97, that has appeared. Looking up the code, it says “ the H97 error code on the newer Panasonic microwaves is an indication of one of 4 possible failures: magnetron tube, control board, high voltage inverter board and or loose wiring. This failure will require a service technician to diagnose and repair.”
