Great Microwave

This microwave was purchased when a prior version of it started having problems, (lots of daily use and several years old). The interior is grey, which we did not care for at first. But, after a few days, we really like it better than white. It is simple to use. It does cook a lot hotter and quicker than the older version, even though size and wattage are the same. We have to remind ourselves to cook at a lessor time frame than the instructions call for. Overall, a great microwave at a great price.

Just right for us.

I bought this microwave b/c it’s exactly the right size to fit the shelf as if it were a built-in. The product is quiet, cooks evenly and is very easy to clean. The child lock is a good safety feature if you have kids, but annoying if you don’t. We are empty nesters, and found it simple to deactivate the feature. This microwave replaces a Sharp Carousel that worked perfectly from1983 until a month ago, if you can believe it! I don’t think this one will last 38 years, but that’s OK, since I’m 70.

Kudos to Panasonic Micros

We were very happy with our previous microwave (also a Panasonic), but it became a casualty of a recent widespread power outage. Thankfully, Sam's Club had a newer version in stock, so when power was eventually restored to our community, our new microwave was ready for duty. Though similar to our old model, we prefer the new model's larger size, its revised push-button controls, and its sleeker styling. It also has a new feature, "Sensor Reheat" that somewhat takes the guesswork out of determining power level and heating times. It's not perfect EVERY time, as food is sometimes overheated, but we've easily adjusted to that issue. Overall, we are more than pleased with our purchase, and we plan to repair our old Pansonic for those occasions when one microwave just isn't enough!

A great Panasonic microwave oven.

After reading a number of reviews, I had very mixed feelings about buying this. This is the third Panasonic I have owned, and it’s every bit as good as the ones before, if not a little bit better. All of the trivial little complaints that I’ve seen are exactly that: trivial little complaints. The oven works great and since I don’t sit in front of the microwave oven to watch it, cook, I don’t care that the internal light isn’t that bright. And since I don’t sit and stare inside the microwave, I don’t care that the interior is light gray instead of white. And since I don’t care that I have to push two buttons to get 30 second cook time instead of just one, I don’t find that to be an issue either. All around, it’s a great Panasonic microwave oven, which is what I have come to expect since way back in the 1980s.

Great Microwave, Large Capacity

Large capacity, powerful, LED bright interior, great features, simple to use and sleek looking. Since microwaves lose about 50% of their power after 5-7 years, it's better to have a built in space for a countertop unit than to have a built in. At 1/3 less the price of a built in, this is twice the size and power!

“inverter” technology makes it cook so much more

I wanted a large microwave which can be difficult these days as most people want small, I like bigger because it holds a bigger casserole dish or bowl for some things. This microwave is large. It has different levels for popcorn, so those bags you buy that come in different sizes can be cooked at different times to get them done but not burnt, you will need to test this out depending what size bags you have. Once you learn which time works stick with that. Also this microwave has “inverter” technology, which means when you cook something at say 50% it will stay working at 50% and not jump up and down from 100%, which will help defrost meats without getting those burnt edges before you prepare your recipe. It also melts chocolate better by staying at a consistent temperature when melting.so not to burn it. I have learned that using an inverter microwave in addition to my stove and oven, especially during busy holiday's when I often need to cook many dishes at once, has it's advantages along with keeping everything warm until serving time; as it also has a keep warm button. Also it is a good way to steam vegetables, melt chocolate, or many other cooking methods that involve steady cooking and do not require browning. The one bad thing I can say about this microwave is that it doesn't have an extra removable shelf for two dishes at once. I have a concern upon reading several reviews that also say it has a short life span, so that does concern the money spent. I will be very upset if this one doesn't last as long as my previous microwave ovens have.

Happy grandma

Haven’t used all of the features yet, but really like this microwave. We wanted a microwave with more power and this one does the job very well. One thing I would warn about,if you are going from a lower power to this one, monitor your food closely as this microwave cooks much faster.

Nice but has a basic flaw

Nice large size. Inverter tech is nice at lower power output to reduce food explosions from hot spots. But this oven has a serious flaw that microwave oven makes had solved decades ago: If I put a mug of water (or other drink) in it to heat it will boil over the top of the contents while the bottom is just barely warm. This means that every time I want a hot cup of drink I must microwave it for a minute, take it out and stir it, then microwave it again for another minute. None of the microwave ovens that I have used in the last three decades had this problem!

Not a fan of changes

I have bought this microwave three different times. One left after a move. The second time it didn’t last as long as the first. So this was my third time recently. This model has a grey inside and a much smaller light. Not a fan can’t see the cooking item as well. The other thing is the lock you have to release before you can open after cooking. What a pain. To check on something cooking is a two button process as well as once an item is completed it’s cooking time it is a two button process to open the door. This might be needed in some households but there should be away to cancel it in households that don’t need it.

Hi there! Thank you for your feedback, and we truly appreciate your loyalty as a customer. We're sorry to hear that this model didn’t meet your expectations, especially after having been such a good fit for you in the past. We understand that the grey interior and smaller light can make it harder to see your food, and we hear you on the added steps for opening the door. To disable the child-safety lock, please press on these buttons quickly one after the other: press Inv.Turbo Defrost, then Cooking Timer and then Popcorn. Your feedback is incredibly helpful, and we’ll be sure to take it into consideration as we continue to improve our products. We hope you’re still able to enjoy your microwave! - F

No No No

I bought this to replace the same brand and model I bought less than 2 years ago (that blew up). It’s the largest on the market so I wanted to give it another try. Big mistake! The very first time I used it, it makes loud fan clicking sounds at the end of the cycle. I even videoed it so I could show when I returned it. Sounds like something is touching the blades as it slows down. I should’ve returned it but because of our busy schedule I didn’t. I’ll just put it in the workshop to use occasionally and call it a loss. I plan to go buy a different brand a little bit smaller.
