Overall i must say it is a good value for the price. on the other hand, the saying "you get what you pay for" is some what true with this set. Even though this set is priced lower than other sets looked at, there are some areas where the manufacturer could improve. HARDWARE AND WOOD The hardware is on the skimpy side. Washers were breaking out of the bag, protective coating on hardware comes off. Wood is cracked and bent/bowed, right out of box. DELIVERY The delivery came sooner than expected. The only problem with that is they gave me not time to prepare. Delivery instructions say the delivery company will contact you a day before. Try 1 hour. Delivery company sends one person to deliver this huge pallet. Driver asked wife to help unload pallet since its impossible for him to do alone. Wife refused and driver was upset and on his way back. Wife had to ask neighbor to help. INSTRUCTIONS Even though instructions are very good, there are some areas where the instructions could be clearer. Where the orientation of wood is important for future steps, it would help to have all the features (holes/c'bores/notches) on wood displayed on picture. That way you can see which set of holes go to what end. On some instances you have to drill new holes, or take it apart and fix, causing frustration and more time. Took me 2 full days to assembly with my 7 and 11 year old as helpers. Once was completed, was worth every second, and cent.

I'm somewhat experienced with woodworking and it took me about 2 weeks by myself working sun up to sun down to build it. I would recommend someone gathering the needed pieces per page and bringing them to the work area as getting up and down for me proved tiring (Pieces can be in any one of the 4 boxes that are shipped). I would also strongly recommend ensuring the ground is level before starting the project, and predrill anything larger than the woodscrews as the wood tends to split easily. To have this built by others would have cost around $800 when all said and done. I take great pride in knowing I did it myself. I learned a lot. Playset is descent quality and worth the money. Monkey bars are too high for my 5 year old to use (though that's the first place she wants to go).

My grandchildren enjoy it from the 2 yo to the 8 yo…. It is sturdy and looks great in our large backyard…The company was great, as it looked like it was going to sit in the delivery storage for over a week an hour away and we called to see if we could pick it up to get it done before the Holiday and it was on our property in 24 hours, and up our long driveway sitting by the garage which was great! I’m sure we will get great use of it over the next 10 years or so…it was easy to follow instructions and assemble and my husband did it by himself over 2.5 weeks just in time for traveling family …Thanks again, and several people have asked about it

Put this together 2 weeks ago and my son will enjoy it for years to come. Upon opening the box, 2 things came to mind: wow, the wood smells good & OMG there’s so many parts. It’s took 2.5 people 2 full days to complete it, but it was so worth it. My neighbors came outside to say how pretty the play set looked. It’s so nice, has rest features and seems very durable. A word of advice when assembling is to layout and organize the parts by part number. That was extremely helpful.

This Skyfort is wonderful and quite solid. This 68-year-old grandma put it together with only a little help. It took me a week though. I finished it on Saturday, and my 3 and 6-year-old grandchildren loved it. Their joy was short lived, though, because a massive storm with high winds swept through Dallas on Sunday and uprooted a huge tree that fell on the entire playhouse and crushed it. It was completed less than 24 hours. All of us are devastated but grateful that the Skyfort kept the tree from landing on the house. My children and grandchildren are safe, albeit without gas and electricity for probably several days. This is hard to explain to two little ones. I’m not sure what we’ll do next. Even if I can figure out how to buy this playhouse again, I don’t live in Dallas and don’t know when I could put another one together. Maybe we’ll figure it out. Two crying grandchildren are rather motivating. Thanks also for the BILT interactive software. I loved it. It made assembly so much easier.

Im a welder that works construction and my wifes a waitress. It took me and her 20 hours to put it together. If the boards were labeled good we proboly could have done it in 14. Easy instructions . My wife mainly read the dircections and had the parts ready for me to put together. I had to help her find them sometime. Thats the only issuse i had. Labeled good and she could have picked them up quicker and i wouldn't have had to stop alot. Over all, not bad. Kids love it. I would recomend it. Its worth it.....

We bought and had this assembled this for our 3 year old daughter a week before everything shutdown due to COVID-19. This was probably the best investment we have ever made. It's taught our daughter so much and challenges her with new obstacles daily. She loves the swing and the lookout the most. It is sturdy and has everything we will need from monkey bars, to a sandbox (which we filled with smooth pebbles), and even a bench for some fine dining.

After a lot of research finally we have decided to buy “Backyard Discovery Skyfort II with Wave Slide Cedar Swing Set/PlaySet – Assembled” It was a wise decision that we opted for professional assembly. Technician John was an excellent technician and did a perfect job assembling the set in 9 hours. Since the day we installed the set, kids have been playing and enjoying it. Our neighborhood kids also come and play. In fact couple of my grand kids friends in the neighbourhood are asking their parents to buy a house next to our house to play all the tie on the Swing Set. This set is not only attractive to kids but also to grownups My daughter who is a senior executive and is working from home made the party table her home office during sunny days enjoying the perfect weather and get more work done that way. It deffinitely enhanced the looks of our backyard. Most important for me is our grandkids are enjoying it. They look forward to come home from school and go play with the Backyard Discovery set. They invite friends are having a good time. All quality and sturdy material was used and I am sure it will last several years. I confess, I am tempted to go play with the set. I highly recommend this product over others. Most importantly, I highly recommend professional installation.

Unless you have all the time in the world, hire a professional to build this. I was amazed at how many parts that could cram into 4 boxes. It took a team of three about 16 hours to put this together and they build these things every day. The finished product looks amazing and my 5 year old son loves it!

We bought last year's model at the end of the sesaon. It is awesome, kids love it! However, beware it is very time comsuming to assemble. You MUST have a big truck to get it home- it was in 5 boxes. The main support posts were NOT 4x4, they were sets of 2x2s encased in plastic; we had to buy good 4x4s. The playscape has no way to anchor to the ground. We had to buy 2 ft in-ground stakes for the 4x4s. The wood is NOT treated. EVERY SINGLE slat had to be sealed before assembly. This is NOT a weekend job; it took my very competent husband several weekends to assemble. Overall, a great purchase and the kids love it.
