My Daughter Loves the Swingset

My daughter has been spending hours playing on her swing set. It was very difficult to put together. I did not receive all the correct pieces and had to add some extra pieces to make the little picnic table work out. There were several pieces that were cracked/broken. Even though it was a hassle my daughter loves the swing set.

Love it!

We spent quite a bit of time researching swing sets for our toddler and preschool boys. My husband kept coming back to this one. We are very happy with this purchase! My husband and son put it together in a few weeks and the boys enjoyed helping! i can swing on it and it is very durable. While it have some difficult play areas for our toddler, he keeps up with his brother and the boys can grow into it.

Grandson Loves this

Crows nest is his very favorite part. He wants a shower and toilet in it now. He plans to move into soon. He's looking for a bed to fit it. We built small sections of flooring to cover sand box area to keep local stray cats out of the sand. We also closed off the wall by the monkey bars. Only problem with the set is the monkey bars are way to high for kids. We added a spinner swing where monkey bars are until he's a few years older.

Came out Very Nice

After looking at several models, we decided on this one to satisfy a range of many ages. We have a 3 yr old and a 6 yr old. The fort, slide and crows nest are perfect for both and the climbing wall and monkey bars for the elder. All items were in box and properly labeled. The instruction book, along with the BILT app made for an extremely smooth and easy installation. I pretty much built this on my own (and I am a novice YouTube watching amateur). I used another guy for the lifting of the roof and for organizing the screws, bolts and washers. Total build time was approx 26hrs. This set is very forgiving, because the placement In my yard is not completely level. I ran into a few uneven screw holes at the very end, but I know this was because of the placement. The complete swingset sits very nice and is completely functional on uneven ground. Not recommending this, but it works. Once it’s all together, it’s solid and does not sway, bounce or rock. I highly recommend laying all the parts out by letter or number (in order), it made for a quicker and smoother install. My kids love this and as parents, we are loving every minute of their enjoyment. Highly recommend this for the price and functionality

Attractive playset - Time consuming to assemble

After doing a lot of research, this playset seemed to be the best value. The freight company called several days in advance to schedule delivery. We live in the country, well off the road, and they were able to unload the 4 large boxes right into my garage. My husband and I assembled the set in pieces in our large garage and then transported the assembled pieces to the location we picked out in our yard for final assembly. We were able to even assemble the fort in the garage - all except for the roof - as we have 10 foot doors. We then loaded the fort on a utility trailer hooked up to our pickup for roof assembly and transport to our yard. This worked very well as we were able to assemble inside over several evenings and a Saturday and were out of the spring rain. It was also helpful to assemble on the level garage floor. We followed other posters' advice in sorting and doing inventory of the pieces and this saved time later. When we were ready to do final assembly, we just loaded the other completed pieces (slide, rock wall, ladder, monkey bars, etc.) in the trailer as well. The instructions could have been better - many times they were not clear on the orientation of the holes in each individual piece, and this made it necessary to tear apart and reassemble several steps later. All the parts were present in the 4 large boxes and we had quite a few pieces of hardware left over. Our 2 grandsons, ages 2 and 4, LOVE it, so the aggravation of assembly was worth it. I would estimate the appropriate age level at 2 -10. The 2 year old can even get into the crows nest, but he has his older brother to show him how. I'm sure I won't like staining/sealing it every year, but it looks great in the yard. My husband is very handy - he built our house - but I can see where this could completely overwhelm someone without some skills. My job was basically to keep 1 step ahead of him and find the next pieces for assembly and the corresponding hardware. There are an unbelievable number of pieces, but it is definitely doable - just don't be in a hurry!

The Works

My wife and I had been looking for a swing set for our two girls. I came across the Skyfort II and was amazed by all of the features it included. This thing has the works! Wave slide, rock wall, monkey bars, teeter-totter swing and two additional swings. That doesn’t even include the tower section that has a functional picnic table, sandbox, fort, and crows nest with a telescope. If you need your children to burn off some energy this is how you do it! The Skyfort II is a majestic addition to any backyard. You kids will never run out of friends if they have one of these kids playgrounds. The neighbor children have a blast learning sharing, playing, and communication skills. It does take some time for delivery, however the drop off went very smooth and the friendly folks placed it nicely in my garage. I highly recommend getting a crew together for assembly. It took 5 of us 12 hours to complete and that was with 2.5 hours I spend prior to that just unboxing and sorting parts. The wood is a tad soft so make sure to not over tighten the hardware as it will dig into the wood. I also recommend using a sealant to prevent any splintering from wear and tear. There is tons of space in the fort for your young ones to have fun. My 6’6” brother cab stand up in the inside without hitting his head! They bay windows also give a great view all around the yard for “home base” during hide and seek. I highly recommend this product and plan to help build more of these with my friends for their children.

Best value for the money

We shopped for a long time to choose a swingset for our two sons (6 & 2 years old). We searched all the way from Amish built to buying plans and building our own. We found that backyard discovery was the best value. Mae Donovan was incredible in the purchasing process. We love the playset. If you want Fort Knox in your backyard, then this isn't the play set for you. You will spend over $10,000 to get these features in an indestructible form. We're more than pleased with the product and installation service. Thank you Backyard Discovery for helping us create memories for our two sons.

Excellent product experience

I assembled the Fort myself and had a good experience. Very good layout and instruction manual. A broken and a missing piece, called the number, got a person, and they sent me replacements right away. Quality hardware and wood pieces, I don't know how they make any money for the price they sell for.

Love it!!!

My husband just put this together for our two kids, 8 and 3. Took him about 5 days by himself to organize everything and build. We weren’t in a hurry so he took his time and built it right! Our kids love the FAST slide and the monkey bars! The rock wall is a plus too. The swings are something they could do for hours!!!
