The Sky Fort 2 arrived in four boxes. As previous reviews mentioned it is best to get organized up front. Once you have the wood separated and the hardware situated you can begin. It took four days with 30 hours of my own time invested. I had several others helping off and on which was very helpful. The instructions are good - some pages are a little confusing and need to be thought through. Overall the work was well worth it to have this completed for my son's 2nd birthday party. All the other kids loved it. He is still a bit small for most of the items but can grow into. If you are considering buying it - go for it. If you are the one building it - best of luck!

We absolutely love this playground. I had looked around and this was the best one for the price. It did take my husband and our neighbor about the 20 hours it said it would to build it and we were missing one piece but it was easily ordered. We would definitely buy this again!

This took about 23 hours for my husband to put together. I helped some (mostly by finding the boards/hardware that he needed next and by keeping the kids out of the way); our 8 year old helped quite a bit too-he got very good at finding the boards we needed. The fort is quite large and sturdy. The entire set is well built and I think it was last a long time...the only drawback is the time it takes to put together, but that is to be expected with a set of this size. Overall, we're pleased with this purchase. One of the barrel nuts was missing and two of the links that hold the chains to the swing seats were defective. I called the manufacturer and they are sending out the parts by FedEx. The lady I talked to was polite and efficient.

I would not recommend this product to anyone. Colors do not match picture. We have assembled other swingsets and we spent many full days assemblying. For everystep multiple pieces of the same piece are in diff boxes. They only want you to pay for assembly. Its as though they intentionally make it hard to put the product together.

This is a great set but the directions were not always very clear. Parts were missing and needed to be ordered they were shipped by the manufature and took several day to arrive. It took over 100 man hours to put this set up but in the end it was well worth it. I had a party with over 40 kids and the set allowed for everyone to play.

It took us, my husband and I, 3½ days (8 hours each day) to put this set together. When it was all done, it looks great and the kids love it! I agree with other reviews that the wood is a little thin and some of it is a little rough. We will definitely need to treat it to protect it for years to come and from the kids getting splinters, but so far it's great.

This playset is amazing! Our son is 9 years old and most of our neighborhood kids are 5 - 9 years old. They love all of the cool features for this, like the crow's nest, the picnic table, the monkey bars. It took 2 days with 6 people to assemble it though. It is a massive project.

We assembled this swingset over the Thanksgiving weekend. It took 3 guys 2 1/2 days. With three of us, two could be working on the "main tower while one was working on subassemblies--the ladder, the climbing wall, the monkey bars and the swingset. The thing went together pretty much as the instructions said. We made a few minor changes. 1) I assembled the table top on the ground, and 2) I assembled the rafters and gable vents on the ground. That made them much easier to put in place. We ran out of some of the hardware. We had to send someone to the store for 2 or 3 types of bolts, flat washers and wood screws. I could have called the company, but I wanted to finish. When installing the porch roof, we decided to build it in place rather than build it on the ground and install it. That is fine, but you need a right angle adapter to drive the roof board screws in as they are right up under the main roof. Be very careful driving screws--If you have a drill with a clutch, use it. It is very easy to countersink the screws and split the wood. We soaped all the screws, and that helped reduce splits, but we still have a few pieces split. We used 3 drills. One with a 3/8" bit, one with a screw driver, and one with a quick change for a 3/16" bit (for pilot holes) and a 1/2" socket. this was for driving the lag screws. It is up and looks very good, I did not get a chance to water seal the pieces on the ground, but I will seal the entire structure.

I bought this swing set and it looked awesome for about 4 months then the color of the wood changed to a bad color and it looks old !!! I talked to a manager at sams in pearland left my information and was told they would contact me never heard anything !!!

Love the overall design. Assembly takes forever further complicated by the terrible packaging of boards in no particular order or box. Wood is cheap quality and constantly splinters, cracks, and breaks from as simple as screws being inserted. Had I known the quality would have been so poor never would have purchased and made one ourselves. Will need to be sealed as already have some warping and swelling due to recent rain but at least the children enjoy it.
