Great product. Assembly instructions are clear but done in a pretty poor order. Definitely easier ways to do certain things.

There a number of steps that could be done closer to beginning or middle, for example the completion of the crows nest before securing on the beam.

I bought the Sky Fort last summer, and I’ve never regretted it since. My kids play on it all day everyday and never get bored with it.

Fun for Everyone

I have 3 months with this play set. Even though I am overall pleased with the product. The stain is wearing off and the wood splits easily.

Easy to assemble.

Our kids have enjoyed the play set, it was a great purchase. With the Bilt app it took me about 21 hours and I had help for about 10 of those hours.

Great Fort/play set

The picture of the playset is very deceiving, makes it look alot larger than it really is. But my kids are happy with it and thats all that matters.

It takes a long time to assemble. However, the instructions are straightforward. Make sure you have help putting this together.

We love everything about ours

This type of cedar is very very lightweight and has absolutely no density. I understand that is somewhat the nature of the wood, but then many of the pieces that are braces and supports should have been cut larger. Also, the stain is so minimally applied and easily rubs off to the point that it will be all over your kids clothes if you don’t stain it properly yourself. I had to re-stain everything right off the bat. There’s also no evidence of any quality control: excessively warped boards, boards of the same part number that are not cut to the same size, edges that are planes too thinly, bent screws and boards that split way too easily. It’s like no matter how badly it came off the assembly line, they threw it in the box anyway. I also think that the engineering of the crows nest is inferior and will not be sufficient to support a 2 seat swing, which will require that you come up with some sort of modification to beef it up. I would go with another brand name  that already puts quality in the box, otherwise you will just end up spending the extra money anyway on all of the modifications you will need to make.

You get what you pay for, sometimes less than that

We absolutely LOVE the Skyfort and are so happy we spent the money on it. It took about 25-30 hours for my husband to assemble it. He did most of it alone, but I helped with about 4 hours of the work. It's definitely easier with two people once you're working higher up and would be much faster with two people all along.

The directions were very easy to follow. Lots of pictures. It definitely helps to sort ahead of time. We separated the wood by letter/number and also took about 3 hours to put screws, washers, etc. into ziploc bags based on what step they go with, and that really helped speed up the building process. Having two ladders and two drills was helpful (two drills so you can keep different bits in at the same time and not have to switch them out so often).

It's shipped in 4 VERY HEAVY, large boxes. When it was shipped to us, we were missing the slide. The shipping company was able to locate it and got it to us within 48 hours of the initial delivery. 

Our older kid just turned three years old and the other is 22 months, and they are in heaven with this playground in their backyard. The crows nest is a big hit! The only thing they can't do on their own is the monkey bars, but they like to try them with help. We are certain we will enjoy this purchase as a family for many years to come - great investment! It's also great because it's beautiful and adds to our landscape! Would recommend to anyone looking for a playset!
