A set that will grow with them!

We’ve had ours for about a month. It took my handy husband a day and a half to put together. We have kids ages 6months , 2, and 11. The 2 year old and 11 year old have a blast on it. I love that they will be able to to use it for so many years. Looks great and has all the essentials!

Love it but....takes for ever to put together

I love it and my girls live on the thing. The only problem I found with it is that you need at least 4 people to put it together. It took about 48 hours total for me and my wife to do it. There's a lot of different size bolts for all the parts and you need a good system for organizing everything. Other than that nice peace. Good grade of wood and bolts. I recommend this to anyone who is looking.

Built to last

It's been a year since we purchased and built the sky fort II and we couldn't be happier. The construction process was straight forward and the instructions were well written. Construction took a full weekend. Had a helper for the first day and everything went pretty quick even after by myself. Using multiple screw guns/impact drivers sped things up with not having to change bits all the time. My kids love the set and they will get years of playing out of it. Definitely something they can grow with. I absolutely recommend this. It does have a large footprint so you'll need the space. Very sturdy and solid! After 1 year exposed to direct sun the factory finish is starting to fade so it will need regular up keep on the water sealing but I think that's started in the manual.

Kids love it!

So far we are very happy with this swingset, and the kids love it. It is a good size with all the play things including swings, rockwall, slide, monkey bars, playhouse, sandbox, picnic table, and of course the sky fort (although the telescope doesn't have any magnification). Our kids are only 2 and 4, so they have many years to grow into it, and it seems sturdy enough to last through the years. It is pretty big with high platforms, so we can't actually let the kids play by themselves yet - especially the opening by the money bars is quite high and it will still be a while before our 4 year old will be big enough to manage those. It took 2 days to build with 3 handy guys (although there were lots of breaks since it was a HOT weekend). We did have a piece of wood split during assembly since there was a knot right where a screw needed to go, but it looks likes we're being sent a replacement. It's not solid wood, but still seems very well made and should withstand the kids and the weather (we also don't get too harsh of winters here with a lot of snow). Overall, we are very happy with the swingset and value for money - Sam's also had the best price by a couple hundred dollars.

Love ours!

We bought this two years ago and I have come back to say that we think it's the best purchase we ever made for our daughters! It provides hours and hours of fun and we are pleased with how it's holding up given the sometimes brutal winters we get here (I did add that waterproof sealant on it, as suggested.) As far as setting it up, I took the time to unpack the four boxes (which come to you packed in such a manner that's conducive to shipping, not at all to constructing your swing set!) and I laid them out according to the stamps on them so it would be far easier to locate piece number H22, for example. We ended up taking two full days to construct our swing set with two very competent, experienced men and me, the competent mama! Haha My dad took the time to ensure that the ground was level with his machinery before we even began construction so we had no issues whatsoever with pieces lining up. After the first day, I realized that having the hardware pre-packaged according to the step would speed up the process, so that evening I took the time to sort the necessary bits of hardware into Ziploc bags and label them so that the next day it was like night and day the speed at which we were able to move. I totally recommend laying all of your lumber out in an alphabetic fashion and doing the little Ziploc bags like I did. My parents plan to purchase the same set now that their grandkids are all starting to get at the age where they can play on this and they want to get the same set because of how happy we are with ours and the fact that we have the experience of building this exact model so we will have an easier time with putting it all together, I believe. When we purchased the set, our elder daughter was two years old and clearly could not use the monkey bars. We just made a gate and placed it in the opening for the monkey bar entrance so that we would not have to worry about her falling out of the upper level when she wanted to go down the slide. We also got a piece of plywood and a spare piece of wood and screw those together to block the monkey bar ladder until we feel like she is at an age where she can safely use that section. As for now, she has fun doing the monkey bars with Mom or Dad's help and baby sister is just loving her new swing that we got to add on.

Our kids love their swing set! It took my husband 2 Saturdays and several evenings after work to put it together by himself. He had a little help from me and the kids (organizing all the pieces). It went together reletively smoothly, there were a couple of the predrilled holes that didn't line up just right, so he had to make his own. As the kids have played on it (for 2 month, almost daily) some of the screws around the swings have loosened up, espcially by the glider swing. My kids have complained that the "crows nest" wiggles a little but it seems to be secure and safe. My husband says it is just how it is comstructed. Overall we are happy with the payset, and feel it was a good choice.

Fun Play

Great Quality for the money. I was impressed with how all the lumber was stamped with letter/number codes for easy inventory. We weren't missing any parts, thank goodness. I can see my son and his friend will have years of fun on this play set. Thank you for the careful design and planning. We are very pleased! We do also plan to seal it as soon as possible, so it will last in the Texas sun and harsh winter winds here in El Paso. Great fun! Much better than buying cheap pine wood equipment....cedar in the way to go!

the kids like it...

Overall i must say it is a good value for the price. on the other hand, the saying "you get what you pay for" is some what true with this set. Even though this set is priced lower than other sets looked at, there are some areas where the manufacturer could improve. HARDWARE AND WOOD The hardware is on the skimpy side. Washers were breaking out of the bag, protective coating on hardware comes off. Wood is cracked and bent/bowed, right out of box. DELIVERY The delivery came sooner than expected. The only problem with that is they gave me not time to prepare. Delivery instructions say the delivery company will contact you a day before. Try 1 hour. Delivery company sends one person to deliver this huge pallet. Driver asked wife to help unload pallet since its impossible for him to do alone. Wife refused and driver was upset and on his way back. Wife had to ask neighbor to help. INSTRUCTIONS Even though instructions are very good, there are some areas where the instructions could be clearer. Where the orientation of wood is important for future steps, it would help to have all the features (holes/c'bores/notches) on wood displayed on picture. That way you can see which set of holes go to what end. On some instances you have to drill new holes, or take it apart and fix, causing frustration and more time. Took me 2 full days to assembly with my 7 and 11 year old as helpers. Once was completed, was worth every second, and cent.

Beautiful

This really is a beautiful set. Some issues with missing parts and some wood cracked after about 3 months, but the customer service was really great and we got what we need to fix the issues. Also be prepared to spend many, many hours plus you will need at least one other person.

Will keep kids busy for hours and days!

We bought ours a few weeks ago and our kids love it! I highly recommend getting this one since it has both monkey bars and swings. Our cousins have the same one and their 11 year-old still uses the monkey bars and climbs in and out of the windows. The littles spend hours in the sandbox. Bonus: you can get trapeze rings to hang from the middle bars. Only downside is there isn't much room between swings so kids need to make sure hands are close to themselves. Also, don't attempt to build this yourself unless you're super handy and have another super handy person with you. It's well worth the time and money to hire out the assembly.
