After an extensive review of swing sets the backyard sky fort 2 seemed to have the best reviews and best fit for our daughter and also reasonably priced. We are very pleased with it and our 2 1/2 yo daughter loves her new swingset. We had a company put it together for us and they had it done in 1 day. Everything seems solid enough... after a couple of weeks we've noticed a few of the boards warping, some cracked or starting “peeling". We were never made aware that you have to apply a sealant on it. Had we known this it could've been avoided. We did contact backyard and they shipped out replacements boards. Other than this, we would recommend this swingset. It has a great variety of stuff to play on!

This is a beautiful playset once assembled, We did initially go through and check off all the wooden pieces and sorted them into piles according to their letter, we had it laid out all on the garage floor, so we couldn't park in their for quite some time, as our yard was to flooded for the longest time to be able to actually begin building. my husband worked on this for 5 days, totalling about 32 hrs, with at least 20 of those hours being with one other guy, and he still has the finishing touches of all the handles to put on. He said it was alot of work, and was thinking at times that $500 seemed pretty appealing to have someone else do it, the only reason I docked this one star, was because I do agree that the swing arm could be 6 inches longer or so to give a little more room in between swings, but really not a big deal, For the amount of stuff you get on this swingset its a great deal, and the crowns nest lookout tower, is really cool. We were not missing any parts, however, my husband came up short on washers, and 2 1/2 in hex screws, he said they came with enough, but the problem is, is they can strip out easily, so he did have to go to the hardware and buy more of those, but that was no big deal, and if it weren't for that he would have actually been able to cut off the last day of 2 hrs. But ran out after hardware stores closed on a sunday, so had to wait.

I bought this April 2014 for my 5 yr old grandson. I had read the reviews and knew the wood wasn't as thick as the higher priced specialty stores around. It's made from 1"x4" boards. One small square piece split while we were screwing it in, so I used wood glue with a piece of blue painters tape around it. When it was dry the tape took the 'redwood' stain off and some wood splinters. I bought some Baer stain hoping that will protect it from the weather better. My main problem is trying to find something to protect the bases from the weed eater. The wood is soft and damages easily from the weed eater. I'm not sure there is anything out there for this purpose (something easier than buying a bunch of plastic tree wraps). My grandson likes it. He's too small still for the monkey bars, hasn't tried the rock wall. The glider swing seems to be his favorite for now. The slide warms up pretty fast in the sun. His older sisters (13,14) think it's pretty neat-they sit in the playhouse. Hopefully this will give him several years of fun..and off the Nintendo!

We have three kids (3, 7, 9) and wanted to find something that would entertain all of them. Some of the other sets were geared to either the littler or bigger kids while this set is perfect! The monkey bars are perfect for the older kids and the little one likes the the rest of it. The bird nest is always exciting for new kids that come over. The slide is fast! The little one took about 10 tries before they figured out to land safely without help. Highly recommend for families that want something that will grow with them and families that have a wide age range of kids! One thing to note it is about 12 hours to assemble including sorting the pieces. The boxes looked intimidating but we were happily surprised that it wasn't that bad. Only a couple parts needed two adults. My older kids helped sort and grab the pieces.

This set was great once we finally got it together. It took us a week and at times the directions were confusing. We had one board left over and when we found where we had missed it said, "Oh Well". The grand kids love the set and our 2 year old grand daughter has already figured out how to climb the rock wall. A great buy for the money.

We bought the playground last November as an early Christmas gift. Both my kids, 7 and 4 years old, enjoy playing on the playground for hours at a time. They love the variety of activities this playground has and my daughter loves her house and bench seats to play restaurant to mom and dad. As for the structure, it's sturdy with both kids and a few of their friends playing on it. We had a third party put it together and when they put it together there were several pieces missing for the balcony. The playground company sent them within a few weeks (thankfully the kids were still able to play on the playground but just couldn't use the higher balcony til all the guard rails came in). Highly recommend the playground! The kids will be using it for years to come.

This set is beautiful, exactly as pictured. It took every bit of 2 days to put it together, but my kids love it. Missing some hardware, be sure to check before attempting to assemble. some of the hardware was difficult to find at our local stores. Otherwise I would highly recommend this product.

We've had this about a year. This swingset is a monstrosity to put together, but doable and worth it unless you want to pay $$ to have somebody else do it for you. We have 4 kids, ages 2, 4, 6, 8. They all are able to enjoy lots of things on this. (I wouldn't get this swingset if you only have children younger than 5. Our 2 and 4 year olds are much more adventurous at those ages than our older ones were. Our 2 year old can do the "rocket rider" by himself, but it's because he's trying to keep up with older siblings.) A few hardware pieces were missing, but a quick call to the manufacturer explaining what we needed and they were in the mail and delivered within a few days. Great Customer Service! We painted it with a deck stain that's supposed to last 6 years. The directions say to coat it (or stain it or paint it...I don't remember exactly what it says), but they don't give any specifications as to what kind of product you're supposed to you. They also say to do it every year. We opted to use something that's supposed to last longer than a year so that we don't have to treat it every year. The bottom floor of the clubhouse was not completely flat and we had honeybees move in; fortunately we caught it early and found a bee keeper to come remove them (for free!...plus the kids learned a lot about bees from watching her get them out.) Sooo...a word of caution, make sure the floor is completely flat. Also, we've had spiders build webs in various places, but that's to be expected. Again, just a caution to check periodically and clean them out. Neither of those are problems with the manufacturing or design of the unit. The only thing I would complain about is the screws that are used for screwing in the bottom floor of the clubhouse and for screwing the picnic table top on have rusted to where you could pull up the floor pieces. My husband took all of them out and put in longer wood screws. Some of the screws had broken off just below the head, some were half there, very few were doing their job. We live in an area with a lot of humidity, so that may have contributed; for whatever reason, the screws didn't last long at all. (That's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.) Overall it's a good investment and the kids have had hours of enjoyment on it in the past year and I foresee them playing on it for many years to come.

This play set is so great! It's huge, the fort is tall enough for an adult to stand up in, and the picnic table underneath is a great feature. Our 4 year old loves this so much. It did take quite a while to put together, including the time it took to unpack all of the boxes and organize the pieces. But no parts were missing, and we had a lot of hardware left over, despite some of the screws and bolts being defective. It took my husband and father in law, both very competent, 2 full days and another afternoon to complete.

It's great for my almost 2 year old (with supervision of course) my 4 and 5 year old and the love it! The swings are replaceable and I was able to switch the big swing out for my toddler swing!
