Unfortunately, there is not enough brightness to make the set useful for watching TV or playing dark video games. I believe Samsung knows this is an issue because the unit came with the Brightness level maxed out as a default. I'm exploring returning this unit because of this issue.

To optimize your picture quality, please be sure your firmware is up to date with version 1805.4 which includes picture quality updates. You can check this by going to: Settings > Support > Software Update. If the picture you are seeing is not to your liking after performing any necessary firmware updates, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting. You can select the Picture Mode that provides the best viewing experience. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode 1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments. 2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience. 3) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room. 4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. 5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching. Intelligent Mode also enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Adaptive Picture, which is among the options, optimizes brightness and provides the best picture quality in real time, based on the lighting condition and the content you're viewing. Simple set up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tv is very simple to set up but it did take some time. I have had it for two months now and love it. This is the fifth Samsung I have owned and will only buy Samsung's as I do have other products the QLED has me hooked. I am a big movie person and I sit in a theater every time I get in front of this monster.
Sometimes can be buggy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had the tv for about a week now and from time to time it won't detect my sounds system of my PC and refuse to connect even though they are on and plugged in to the tv. When it does work picture quality is good.

When you are connecting your devices that supply 4K content to your TV, like an Xbox One X, Xbox One S, Playstation 4 Pro, UHD Blu-ray player, PC, Roku player, or anything else there is one very important step you need to do on your Samsung TV. You need to enable UHD HDMI Color (Input Signal Plus). Navigate to Settings > General > External Device Manager. Select UHD HDMI Color (Input Signal Plus). Connect an HDMI cable (with an adapter, if necessary) into your computer, and connect the other end into the desired HDMI IN port on the TV. Make sure the cable is properly attached. Then, use the remote to navigate to Home, and then select Source. From there, select the PC as the video source. If the TV has difficulties connecting to your PC due to surrounding radio interference, change the frequency of the wireless access band, and then try to connect. I hope this helps. This product has some great features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tv works great for streaming all your 4k content. Not very good for browsing online but that recalling wasn't the focus. You tube Netflix, Disney all work amazing with it. Could def use a sound bar.
So far it has to be my favorite purchase yet.

Nothing beats watching the newest 4k movie releases better that cinema with the addition of surround sound with subwoofer.

The smart controller is perfect when you just want one for all your devices… the self diagnosis is lit!! I will recommend you that you go to expert settings and set a picture mode with all the settings that best suit you.. because the difference between an standard image and a custom one is big!!! I have it with a 7.1 Samsung sound bar.. and the HUE Phillips entertainment light system.. and is AMAZING!!!
Incredibly crystal clear pixel eye candy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my exquisite futuristic time machine for the eyes for everything but work. But that's only because..... I mean.... honestly how could anything feel like work once you power up this television. It's almost like a 3d experience when watching in 2d. Not to mention the dummy proof experience while experiencing all the features this machine has to offer. I call it streaming eye candy meant for a future which already present. Playing my play station is a whole new experience for me. The intelligence that has been put in to this 60 inch....well flat box is quite incredible if you really think about it. You would think it should be bigger to think someone actually managed to stuff all that genius into such a thin machine is remarkable. Samsung keep it up. If that's a possibility I'm sure you will continue to lead us into the future.
Awesome TV

Other that, the tv is great right out of the box. I know from the bottom to top of the line, this class/model is a great fit for everyone

Samsung has a forever customer in me!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is now my 4th Samsung TV, and I refuse to ever buy a TV from any other manufacturer! I originally checked out their TVs way back when smart phones were just making their debut. I was lucky enough to have chosen the Samsung Vibrant when I had no idea even what to expect! My favorite thing about it was of course the beautiful AMOLED display. When I heard their TVs had an equally gorgeous display, I went to check them out. Back then, and still today, the difference between a Samsung TV vs all other the brands showcased in the stores was (IS) ASTONISHING!!!! They stand out so much that there's just simply no question as to which TVs are theirs! I was sold on that alone, bought one then and there! Got it home, and even though I was sure there had to be something that would make other people choose another brand, I was only more impressed by the ease of setup, ease of use, great audio quality, seamless integration with everything in my home, and the stack of extra features, most of which I was unaware even existed!! I was their loyal unpaid salesman after that, I convinced pretty much everyone I know to buy a Samsung TV! As far as durability, I have yet to see any problems whatsoever. The only reason I'm on Samsung TV #4 is because of some new, latest and greatest feature I wanted to have - as a matter of fact, I still have the other 3, they're just used in other rooms than my main living room! I just cannot say enough about their TVs as well as everything else they sell, they have a loyal customer in me FOR LIFE!!!
