Smell was great, but still had white marks on top.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't overly impressed with the deodorant. It worked well, but I still did sweat and didn't see any difference from my regularly used deosorant. I wish I could find something that didn't transfer to my shirts. That was my hope in trying this one.
Little Black Dress Approved
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently, I took a trip to Las Vegas and decided to give my new deodorant a try. I'm used to sticking to a solid white deodorant but thought I would try this new Secret Outlast Clear Gel Deodorant sample. Upon receiving my sample, I noticed that it took quite a few twists to crank out some clear gel. It was applied smoothly and dried rather quickly. Putting on my little black dress for my anniversary was the ultimate test for this deodorant as my normal deodorant usually marks up my nice clothes. After a night of walking, dancing, gambling, and general shenanigans, I looked to my pits to notice... dun dun dun.... NO WET, WHITE MESS! I was impressed. Not only did this deodorant smell decent, but it does what it says it should. There were no marks on my little black dress at the end of the night. I did, however, continue to sweat but I do sweat a lot. Now, I didn't give it the 48 hour protection test because I like my showers, but it worked well for 12 hours. I will surely be using this deodorant to keep my clothes dry and free of stains in the future! Bring on the next Vegas trip!
Camping and hiking worthy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All my life it's been a constant battle for a good deodorant. You have to get the smell just right (pomegranate or cucumber melon?), the texture just right (clear? clear solid? spray??), all while unsure if it will ACTUALLY do it's job of keeping you dry and preventing that underlying body odor smell. Truth be told, I was skeptical trying the Secret Outlast Clear Gel Deodorant based on my experience with the gels in the past. I didn't like how much came out and how I always felt as though I had too much in there! But I gave it a go and glad I did! Initially I was worried about the scent due to "knowing what I smell like" with my Dove deodorant stick. So I was surprised when I could smell it initially and then the strength of the scent became much more mild after a few minutes. This is a great perk when wanting to wear perfume but not wanting the scented deodorant to battle with it!. So with the scent checked off, next was to see how the all day to 48 hour coverage would hold up. The ultimate test for me was seeing how this Secret deodorant held up for an overnight camping trip as well as climbing a Colorado 14er. The hike was about 7 hours and not once did I get a whiff of BO through my deodorant! I sweat, I cooled off, I sweat a lot again and I stayed dry and stink free! With deodorant, I always feel like I get a little BO smell in addition to the cucumber melon, but this was definitely not the case with the Secret clear stick! And I must say, one of the best parts of this deodorant is that there are no more white streaks on my shirts!! I think that's a challenge for all of us, especially when dressing up for the evening. Say, do we put it on before we get dressed or after and risk getting my shirt or dress streaked? 5 stars because this product truly exceeded my expectations for a deodorant. I could never have imagined finding one that is clear, smells nice but is not over powering and that truly keeps up with my active life style of keeping me fresh and clean. Thank you for this opportunity!!
Not a big fan...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tend to buy invisible solid deodorants over gel just because I'm not always a fan of how the gel feels, but I use Secret deodorant normally so I figured this would be good. It smells good and it lasts very well throughout the day, but I can't get past the feeling of the gel. First of all, when I put it on after getting out of the shower, it would sting my underarms pretty bad. I do tend to have sensitive skin, but as I said, I typically use Secret brand deodorant so I was very surprised this was an issue. I only tried the deodorant a few times because the uncomfortable sting wasn't worth it. I also was not impressed with how it applied. I felt like I had to wait a few minutes because it felt very moist after application and I figured it would just rub off on my clothing unless it dried properly. Lastly, I was very annoyed with the amount that came out. Sometimes I would have to turn the dial several times for the product to come out and other times I would turn it once and way too much would come out. Overall, I love the small and that there wasn't residue on my darker colored clothing, but that's about it. I wouldn't purchase it.
1/2 way through
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, so I have been using Secret Outlast Xtend for awhile now and it is very long lasting and great in that way. The scent is very light and not over or underwhelming. My only issue is that it burns a little to put on after shaving.
Not What I Expected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Secret deodorant brand and I usually that's what I purchase in either solid or spray. I however don't have a good experience with any brand when it comes to gel deodorants. At first I was not impressed with the Secret Outlast® Clear Gel Deodorant fragrance because of my allergies. I can't stand floral scent which this one has. I still tried it thinking, well, more like hoping the scent would diminish as time went out. I also wasn't sure what to expect using gel deodorant in this humid/hot weather. Let me begin by explain the product's package. Everything from the outside is see through plastic. The bottom dial to dispense the product is quite big and has ripples edge on it for a better grip which is good if you put on lotion or oil before applying deodorant which is what I do. The top of it has a shaped of the secret logo and dispenses enough to cover both my underarms from one click. Like I said, I'm not big fan of gel deodorants but I was trying this one. My first mistake was to click way too many times and applying too much product to both underarms. Bigger mistake was to not realize I can dispense as much or little as I want! Clicking clockwise dispenses the product but doing so counterclockwise pushes it back without creating a mess!!! Even better. So my first time using it the gel took a while to dry and had to use a tissue to help the process. The fragrance/scent seemed too strong but it was okay. Not bad for my allergies.
Stayed dry, but left a flaky mess
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to like Secret Outlast® Clear Gel Deodorant so badly, but it revealed a fatal flaw: it leaves a clear, crusty mess! On the first two days, I used one click of the container, and because it was new, it only released a tiny bit of the gel...but that's all I needed! My arm pits were completely dry all day long in this god-awful Florida heat. It lasted through lifting my baby in and out of his car seat and in and out of stores, in 90+ degree temps. It even lasted through the stress of an argument with my teenage daughter! And while I was running around, trying to get ready to go out, my son screaming in his play pen, my arm pits stayed cool under pressure (There may have been under-boob sweat, but by golly, my pits were dry!). But alas, on day three, when the proper amount was released from the container in a single click, it was obviously too much product. Within an hour, my armpits had snowy crystals flaking off...yuck! This is a major pet peeve of mine, and is exactly why I don't trust gel deodorants. It's certainly better than the white, curdled mess that solids leave behind, but it's still embarrassing and gross. I'll stick with my roll-on, but for women with odor issues, the crusty stuff may be worth it.
New favorite Deodorant
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this deodorant. It goes on smooth and dries really quickly. The scent is amazing and clean. I love that there is no residue at all. The only thing I didn't enjoy was it burned when I first put it on. I'm not sure if it lasts 48 hours since I shower everyday but it does last until my next shower even in the heat and humidity.
Love this!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't used gel deodorant in a very long time because every time that i have it just doesn't seem to do the job BUT this one works I can put it on in the morning and I can still smell it at night and the gel actually dries not like most that just stays in gel form. Absolutely would recommend this to friends and family and will be switching over to this as my regular deodorant.
Secret outlast
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did not like the secret outlast deodrant. It made my armpits extremely sticky feelings. Not only that but it does not do the job of odor protection no where near what by ban does for me. I went to an amusement park so I put outlast to the test. I will say that the in store price wise outlast is cheaper than my current brand however outlast just does not work with my body chemistry. Lastly it did have a decent scent to it. So basically even though it did not work for me; outlast got two stars as opposed to one for price and a decent scent.
