This is not the experience we want you to have and we appreciate your bringing it to our attention. We are sharing your comments with the rest of the team. As you likely already know, deodorants protect against odor by killing odor causing bacteria, but don’t control wetness. For wetness and odor control, we recommend an antiperspirant deodorant combination. The level of protection provided by a product depends on body chemistry. Changes in diet, activity levels or stress may affect the performance of the product. Our testing has shown that it may take up to two weeks to adjust to a new product before getting the fullest level of protection. So, reapplication may be necessary in the first few weeks. It's always great hearing that our products are doing their job but we are a little disappointed to find that you thought the scent to be overwhelming and that it was hard to wash off. Please know that we want our consumers to have the best of experiences with our products, and this is certainly not what we had hoped for. We also put a lot of effort into research and consumer product testing so that we create features that our consumers might find appealing. We do, however, realize that scent is an extremely personal preference, and not everyone will see eye to eye on what is considered pleasant. We appreciate the feedback as it gives us guidance when making decisions to improve or enhance our products and you can be assured that we have passed your comments along to the appropriate people on our team, including our Quality Assurance Team. If you find the product difficult to wash off, it might be due to using a bit too much. We recommend trying just 2-3 clicks per arm and allowing the product to dry before getting dressed. For easier removal, using a soap without added moisturizers, like Ivory Gentle Bar Soap, can really help.
