So fresh, so clean
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to start by saying how great the scent of the Secret Outlast Xtend Clear Gel is. It smells like I just walked out of a shower and used the best smelling soap. I don't care much for scented deodorants, usually the scent is too strong and often gives me a stomach ache, but this just smells like a nice fresh soap. I tried this in daily, regular use as well as using it for high intensity workouts in 70 degree California temperatures and found that it hold up really well in both situations. I felt dry and fresh all day and even after a good workout. It claims to have 48 hour protection, which I can't comment on since I haven't gone 2 full days without showering and although it does hold up to everyday sweating, I think 2 days is pushing it. Most people wouldn't expect that (nor need) 48 hour protection anyway so I don't think anybody would be disappointed. Normally I sweat a moderate to high amount during workouts and during the summer months. This kept me nice and dry during most rigorous activities. I'm excited to see how it does during the hotter summer months! I would recommend this for people who like fresh scents and are looking for a bit of extra protection
Excellent Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product not only works against wetness and odor protection on my adult body (stress, anyone?), but also on my soon-to-be-hormonal daughter, who sweats excessively! Amazing odor and wetness protection, without leaving white marks all over my clothes (I wear black - a lot!). Very impressed! Also, Secret Outlast® Xtend doesn't burn like other gels do, when applied after shaving, so that is also a very nice touch! Curious to see what scents this comes in, as this was a little flowery for my taste, but even that I am willing to deal with in exchange for not smelling like a man at the gym!
Secret Outlast Clear Gel Deodorant
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this product. It dried instantly upon skin contact and didn't leave any white marks or residue. I felt cool and dry for a full 24-48 hours, no matter how active I was. The deodorant has a pleasant scent, as well. It's great having a deodorant I can count on since I'm a busy mom and wife. I highly recommend this product to all women. Thank you, Secret!
Just Alright... Not Impressed...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a person who has spent a lot of time (and money!) looking for the "just right deodorant". I have yet to find the perfect combination of wetness control, lack of white marks, and most importantly, odor prevention. When I received my free trial of Secret's Outlast Clear Gel Deodorant from BzzAgent, I was initially impressed with how quickly it dried and my ability to wear any color shirt or dress without any white marks showing! Though the first few days I used the product were overcast and a bit cool, I was cautiously optimistic I had finally found the perfect deodorant for me! Then came the more usual hot, sticky, humid, summer days to really test the strength. I noticed quickly that the wetness control was not as I had hoped it would be as my body became more warm in the sunshine. Further, the more active I was once the weather was hotter, the less the product was able to stand by it's 48-hour protection promise from wetness and odor. A couple days ago I went hiking in the Adirondacks with my dog. I began to smell stinky before we had even reached the top. I reapplied when we got back to the bottom (the deodorant was in my car, just in case) to hopefully fight the odor, but it was too late. The next day after showering and putting on a fresh coat of the Outlast Clear Gel, I went to the beach with some friends and it again failed to protect me from odor. I would recommend this product to anyone going about low-stress activities such as running errands, hanging out around the house, going to work in a climate-controlled office, etc. Also, if someone wants a deodorant that will leave clothes white-mark-free, this is it! However, for more strenuous days and/or hot & humid days, I'm going to stick to my invisible solid (which is still from the Secret Outlast line) which seems to protect me from odor much more effectively and for longer periods of time.
Wowser it works!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, before I purchase a new deodorant/antiperspirant I have to ask others! I refuse to be out and about and have a oh snap moment! This Secret Outlast Clear Gel was amazing! I live in the humid state of Kansas which makes me feel sticky all the time. After using this today I felt sure of myself and no stains!!
It really lasts
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my new favorite deodorant. I admit I usually buy men's deodorant in the summer months, this stick works great. It lasts and holds up to heat and sweat like men's deodorant does. And it's clear. No white marks, no embarrassing chunks to find or lines on clothes. Love it! I did get the sample free to try via buzzagent! So happy I found this.
Not for me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never been a fan of gel deodorant for a few reasons; 1) my underarms are a bit sensitive and 2) I sweat quite a bit during the spring/summer months. I have never been able to find a product that works well enough for my needs. I'm pretty active at work, so I need something that can keep up with my constant moving around. I've tried MANY different kinds of deodorants: gel, spray, solid, powder, crystal sticks, clinical strength, etc. All of them have had an end result of still feeling moist, and within an hour or so, my shirt is soaked through and it is quite embarrassing. Now, to the Secret Outlast Gel. I shaved my underarms the night before to avoid any irritation. I showered, washed my underarms and dried them thoroughly. After a few clicks of the wheel, the gel was starting to come out of the applicator. The smell was okay, but not my favorite. It had a fresh clean kind of scent, but it was a little overpowering. I applied the deodorant and as expected with a gel, I got that "wet" feeling in my pits. I waited a few minutes and thought maybe it would dry completely. Nope! I stood in front of a fan with the air directly blowing into my underarms. Still not there. My underarms were still wet from the gel about 10 minutes later. After giving up on the drying, I decided to throw a shirt on and deal with the moist-ness. Then I began to feel a slight burning sensation, but not bad enough that I wanted to wash it off. Sort of felt like a mild sunburn, but no visible irritation. I left the deodorant on and went to work, hoping that the burning meant it would work better. My pits were wet all day and the sweat soaked through my shirt anyway. I ended up using the deodorant for a few more days and luckily never got the burning sensation again, but I'm sad to say this deodorant didn't help with perspiration. I probably won't buy this product in the future.
strong smell
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Today is the first day I have used this product, but I do not think I am going to like it. The gel feels sticky and the smell is very very strong. It may be that I'm not used to it yet, so I am going to keep using it. Here's to trying new things.
New deodorant, for the win!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It seems deodorant is one of those things that everyone (well mostly everyone) uses, but not many people talk about. Let's change that. I've always been a fan of Secret deodorant. Heck, back in high school I sported the "teen" line. Since then I've tried just about every product secret has released. Before I received a free sample of the Clear Outlast gel, I used the Secret Clinical Strength (I love the "fearlessly fresh" scent) and this would keep me dry and happy on a typical day. I can't say that I will completely switch to the outlast line rather than the clinical strength, but I can say it feels good to have another tool in my arsenal to fight odor and wetness. When testing the Outlast product I wanted to really give it a test so I would apply it in the mornings and not reapply until after my daily workout. Obviously I wasn't dry following a workout, but really who is. I did smell fresh and that's a clear bonus.
Smells Great and Lasts Long
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy using the Secret Outlast Xtend Clear Gel deodorant. When I apply it, I only need to turn the click once because it measures out the perfect amount for me per application. It feels kind of wet when I first apply it, but it dries in a few seconds. The deodorant smells nice without smelling powder fresh or floral, which are my two least favorite deodorant scents. The deodorant lasts 24 hours without me sweating or smelling at all. Seriously, I do not sweat with it unless I work out at the gym. I have not tried the 48 hour protection because I like to apply deodorant daily. I have also used it daily for over two weeks and I still have plenty left in the tube. The deodorant fits nicely in my medicine cabinet. Overall, I am very satisfied and would buy it in stores, depending on the price.
