REVIEW

OVERALL...I LIKE THE TV. BIGGER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY MY PROVIDER WAS NOT LISTED (FRONTIER) AND I HAD TO PICK COX TO GET THE TV TO WORK. SO SEEING COX IS ANNOYING. MAIN SCREEN KEEPS CHANGING TO STUFF I NEVER WILL WATCH OR USE. MY SOUNDBAR WOULD NOT PAIR WITH THE TV. BECAUSE IT WAS NOT A SAMSUNG OR WHATEVER WAS LISTED. SETTINGS NAVIGATION IS DIFFICULT. SOMETIMES A MESSAGE WILL POP UP FOR NO REASON AND I HAVE NO CLUE AS TO WHY. I CAN NEVER BE SPEEDY ENOUGH TO GET UP TO ACTUALLY SEE WHAT IT SAYS. WISH IT HAD VOICE COMMAND.

Bizarre

Bought this TV 5 days ago and every 7-10 minutes the screen goes black. In about a minute it comes back on and freezes for a brief moment and then in about 7-10 minutes it goes black again. It ran perfectly for a full 4 days w/o any problems. I am absolutely baffled.

Hi FGS1, If you've switched on your TV and the sound comes through fine, but you do not see any picture, there are three potential issues. 1) A connection issue is the most common problem where there is a bad connection, faulty cables, or improper installation. 2) An issue with the device connected to the TV. There may be a video output setting on the device that you must set properly before it will output to the TV. 3) There is something wrong with the TV, requiring a technician to assess the TV and find a solution. This TV is awesome!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got the Samsung DU7200D Crystal UHD TV (2024), and I’m really happy with it so far. The 4K picture quality is super clear and vibrant, and navigating through apps like Netflix and Disney+ is really smooth with the Tizen OS. It’s easy to use, and I like that it has built-in voice assistant support. It’s not perfect—like, it’s not the best for gaming or super bright rooms—but for everyday TV watching, it’s been great. Overall, it’s a great upgrade for the price, and I feel like I got a lot of value out of it.

Was great tv now, not so much but I am stuck

It asked me if I wanted to update and I did. I do not like the new format and the way it works. It did say if I updated that I coul not go back. So no I am stuck with a tv I don’t like. The newer one I bought for the other house is great but I will never update your tv’s again

Awesome picture quality, features, and apps

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm still learning all the features on the TV. I'm a movie buff and love the movie experience in my own home. I stubbled upon some free videos including some related to health and fitness--perfect for new year's resolutions/goals. The TV set-up process was effortless considering the last Samsung tv that i had. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the surround sound is as robust as my previous Samsung tv. I have to really turn up the volume to 30+ for that movie experience. Also, the instructions for connecting an external receiver (with surround sound) are not clear. I will do some more research to figure it out because this TV is still a keeper. This model also has more storage than my previous TV which is another plus so I'm able to add more apps.

Some what satisfied

I bought this TV about a month ago really like the picture but have some issues with the remote control and the actual size of the screen. Our previous TV was a Vizio and the same size class was almost 2" smaller from WiFi to side to side and 1" smaller from top to bottom. My wife has arthritis in her hands and has a terrible time working the volume and mute button on the remote.

Love this tv!

We love our new Samsung 55” tv. It’s the largest we could fit into the space available. The sound, and picture are great! We use YouTube, and it’s so easy to turn the tv on and off and find the shows we want to watch. We may buy another smaller Samsung tv for the bedroom.

My guests are always able to sign into their apps. Samsung all the way with me including my phone, tablet, washer & dryer! ❤️

Not a consistent experience across Samsung sets

I have had this set for about a month. It is in my family room and is a size upgrade from a 55" Samsung. I have a total of five Samsung Smart TV sets. This one has a nice and bright picture but does not have an optical out (I assumed it did as my other Samsung sets have it) so I had to use an HDMI which is not my preference. The remote controls are simple and easy to navigate. The primary reason that I have five Samsung sets, other than they are a decent brand) is that all remotes are essentially the same and I wanted the same experience when using the smart functions as I have cut the cord. While the operation of the menus is similar for each set, I cannot get them to act the same way despite having the settings set the same. Among the things each do are: opening at the home menu, opening on the last used app, opening on the home menu then going to the last app and one will only open to Samsung TV (which I do not use). Also, sometimes, it takes a few minutes (yes, MINUTES) for some of the sets to find my network--other sets on the same network connect right away. That's annoying. So, I like the sets but wish I could get them all to act in the same manner.

Extremely slow startup

This TV has great sound and a very nice picture. The main problem I have with all Samsungs is that the remote keeps changing. I own several Samsungs now and every remote is different. Even though they are Smart TVs, I use a ROKU on all of them. With the ROKUs, I don't have to explain to the wife or kids (over and over) how each remote functions. We just use the ROKU remotes to control them all, and they are all the same. This particular TV also takes a ridiculously long time to start up. Early on, I kept thinking I forgot to press the power button. In addition to that, it takes a long time to recognize that something is connected to the HDMI 1 port. My other Samsungs start up quickly and go directly to the HDMI port where the ROKU is installed. Even without the ROKU, I think the slow startup will bother most people.
