Pros: This works great for storing the kids' outside toys and a spot for watching them play. Cons: This is plastic which means two things: 1. It is sturdy enough but not much. It came with the backrest for the bench broken beyond use. 2. It gets HOT when in the sun, especially with the dark color.

The seat back plank piece that reinforces the seat back was missing. I contacted the manufacturer- Keter. They said they can’t send the missing piece and I will have to return the bench to where I bought it and get a new one. Instead of taking the bench apart and returning it, we will keep the bench. The seat back doesn’t feel as supportive as it should and flexes when leaned on. It would be less inconvenient for everyone if they could just send the missing part instead of having us take it apart, return it and rebuild it again. Other than the missing piece, it’s a nice bench.

Instructions were fairly straightforward. Problems came when it came time to put the left and right arm rests together on the floor, back and front. It was an absolute nightmare attempting to fit it all together. Based on the good reviews, I can only imagine they have changed the design/molding process. The aluminum bar which was screwed into the plastic front to help stabilize the frame became an impediment to assembling the sides to the frame. Further, the plastic molding didn't fit properly and the side armrest piece cracked while trying to fit it all together. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. We disgustedly disassembled and re-packaged the pieces and is going back.

I am 77 years old and found putting this together was easier than it appeared. The pieces are all marked and assembly went smoothly. I was worried when I read one review saying water came into the storage area after a rain. After our first drenching rain, I went out lifted the lid and everything was completely dry. I recommend this bench highly!

Easy to assemble

Do not understand all the reviews mentioning “sturdy”. Piece of trash and definitely do not recommend. Arrived with broken pieces laying in bottom of shipping box and went downhill from there. Thin plastic NOT sturdy at all. Warped and impossible to fit some of the pieces together. Would have returned if not for 170 mile round trip to do so. Did not expect it to be waterproof and it isn’t for all who are inquiring.

Nice little storage bench for our front patio for our kids outside toys/games they use and share with the neighborhood kids. However, the directions were terrible; especially in relation to the metal bars placement. After taking off many pieces of loose plastic as the result of shoddy craftsmanship/carelessness, I figured out just by visuals, (after hubby gave up 2 hours in!), how the bars were actually set up two different ways- rear side is flipped over. I also read other reviews stating there is no drainage and that the water that gets into the storage area needs to be dumped; we simply drilled some drainage holes in the bottom to help with this issue. For $100 storage bench made of plastic, we'll see how it holds up! 🙂 Hoping for the best!
